Mermaid House: Heated Pool, Dual Dockage & Outdoor Bar on the Canal

Mermaid House is a renovated second-level home sitting right on a canal corner in Ramrod Key, with 30 feet of dockage on one side and 20 feet on the other. The backyard is where most guests end up spending their time. There's a private saltwater pool available (heater available for additional fee), a big wooden island table next to the grill, an outdoor dining area, a fire pit, and an outdoor shower to rinse off after a day on the water. A kayak and two bikes are included for guests to use.

Inside, the home has an open floor plan and three bedrooms that sleep up to six. The kitchen is fully equipped, the washer is in-unit, and the TVs are smart so you can log into your own streaming accounts and watch whatever you want.

The location is genuinely hard to beat. You are two minutes from Big Pine Key, about eight minutes from Bahia Honda State Park, and roughly 35 minutes from Key West. Looe Key Reef, one of the best dive and snorkel sites in the entire Keys, and is a short boat ride away. It's quiet out here, no resort crowds, and no noise, just water, sky, and the kind of pace that reminds you what a real vacation feels like.
