Honestly the best experience with Vrbo rentals! It was gorgeous and clean. We all felt very safe and comfortable. The host communicated with us as fast as possible. I will definitely come back in the future.
We stayed for a couple days, family of four with 2 kids (5&8). The views are spectacular, house was clean, the kids had a blast playing shuffleboard, video games and ping pong. We did smores every night under the stars with a great view of the lake and mountains.
We had a great stay overall and would definitely consider coming back. The property was extremely clean and well-maintained, which made it feel comfortable right away. The host was also very responsive and easy to communicate with, answering any questions quickly and making the whole process smooth. The view was absolutely beautiful and one of the highlights of the trip—we really enjoyed spending time just taking it all in.The only downside was that some basic amenities weren’t provided. Things like coffee, shampoo, and other toiletries would have been a nice touch and are something many travelers may expect, especially for a week-long stay. That said, it didn’t take away too much from an otherwise excellent experience. Overall, a great place to stay with just a small opportunity for improvement.
This house is perched on the peak of a beautiful, wooded peninsula with great views of Lake James. We loved the location, enjoyed visiting Fonta Flora Brewery, and felt like royalty watching the sun set from the Adirondack chairs around the patio fire pit. The house is well-equipped and the host was very responsive. It was an awesome stay!
This cabin was phenomenal! It lived up to its description and more! It was clean, beautiful, spacious and the view was the best on the lake! I would recommend a stay at this cabin to anyone. The checkin was easy, all things listed were supplied and more, and the game room was a family favorite. The private dock was absolutely wonderful and luxurious-we would DEFINITELY stay here again!!!
The House is as described online. It’s in a beautiful gated and growing lake community. Pros: open living area, great Mountain View, all appliances working. Cons: needs to be equipped more with towels (2 bath towels in ea bathroom, advised to bring extra towels if needed)
Amazing views in a beautiful new home well suited to our needs
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Pleasant times sitting high up with Great Lake and mountain horizon view. That comes at a price though… exercise climbing back up from the dock albeit on well built wood staircase. Exercise was good for us but worth noting for guests with potential issues climbing that many stairs.
This property was everything we wanted. We had two families staying and we had plenty of room for our kids and comfortable living spaces. The views are incredible with a great sunset every evening. The owner was very courteous and responded quickly to our questions. Our kids were mostly in the 6-12 age range and I couldn’t recommend a better place. Everyone was super grateful to be at this place for a whole week. We loved it and plan to be back!
Our group of golfing buddies really enjoyed this house. The listing was accurate. Views were spectacular. House was well equipped and clean. Stairs to the water posed a slight challenge, but that's the cost of the views. Communication with host was prompt and helpful. Will look forward to staying here again!
This was one of the most beautiful rental locations that I have seen in person; the photos really can’t show the scale of the mountain and lake scenery, The house was basically brand new. We really enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately it rained almost our whole vacation so we couldn’t kayak. Maybe good because that would have been a workout to carry them down the many, many steps to the lake. I would definitely stay here again.
The property and views were absolutely spectacular, with some of the most beautiful sunsets. House was nicely appointed, clean, and with most necessities for the stay. Host had Kayaks you could use, a fire pit and gas grill. A great fun room with ping pong, shuffle board table, and game console (vintage games). We rented a boat for our stay and was able to park at the dock. Would definitely recommend and will stay at this property again.
The "lake house" was great! Plenty of room for everyone and enough ping pong and other indoor games to stay occupied on the one rainy day. Be prepared for 200 steps to the dock and remember you must come back up! We had jet skis, rented a pontoon boat with slide and also had kayaks. Everyone had a great time.
This home was amazing. The host was very responsive and we enjoyed everything about it. The only thing that could have made it a smidge better was the disclosure of the amount of steps leading to the lake. Not that it would have changed anything, just maybe done some stair stepper exercises before arriving in preparation but the platforms to rest were very helpful! We absolutely recommend this home and host. The view was breathtaking and the porches were one of the best parts of the home!
Perfect Lake James Getaway – Stunning Views & Wonderful Host!
Our family had an amazing stay at this beautiful home on Lake James! We traveled with teenagers, a 1-year-old, a 3-year-old, and my mother-in-law, and the house was perfect for everyone. The location is unbeatable—right on the lake with breathtaking mountain and water views. The home itself was upscale, exceptionally clean, and well-stocked with everything we needed. From the kitchen essentials to the comfortable furnishings, every detail was thoughtfully considered. The outdoor space was just as impressive, providing the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings. Our host, Andrew, was fantastic—very responsive and accommodating, making our stay seamless from start to finish. We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for the perfect Lake James getaway! We can’t wait to come back.
This house was perfect for our party of 12 which included 2 three year olds. There was plenty of room to spread out and the kids enjoyed playing on the awesome screened in porch. The only thing that would make this a 5 star review would be more comfortable lounging areas. The furniture seemed kind of cheap and was not the most comfortable. Really missing out on an awesome opportunity to make the back porch the best napping spot ever. The kitchen was fully stocked which made prepping meals a breeze! Would definitely stay again!
We had an amazing stay—property just as listed. Incredible views, lots to do at the house (games, shuffle board, ping pong etc.) it got warm enough to spend some time outside to take in the view. Great house for larger family to stay with plenty of room. There is some construction going on below the house but overall this did not cause much concern. Would definitely stay again and hope to come back in the summer months!
