Great location!

Although the pillows could have been more comfortable, it is a great location near a fishing pier and with a private pool and at a decent rate.

Cool affordable place

Nice place, walking distance to the water

Nice place for a simple weekend getaway. Perfect for the two of us and our small dog. We'll definitely come back again!

Quiet Fulton Beach Getaway

Thank you. I feel refreshed after spending a few days at your wonderful property in Fulton Beach. It was my first time staying at that end of the beach and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The place had everything we needed and it was very quiet at night. Especially loved chilling at the pool and taking advantage of the amazing on the back-covered patio. Yard was perfect for our two dogs.

Cute place!

The house had everything we needed. It would have been nice to have a covered trash can somewhere on the community property for dog waste, etc. The dumpster is pretty far away.

Rain, rain go away

The cottage needed a covered porch as it rained 19.8 inches in 4 days!!! What a great experience and did get to the beach and sunshine last day! Coastal Bend of Texas is a true experience. Folks came by to check everything was ok with cottage. Neighbors were awesome.

Disappointed

The pictures online didn’t accurately reflect the amenities. The bed was a dated box spring that wiggled a lot! The biggest disappointment was the supposed lit pier. It was not lit over the water to attract fish like implied and the lights at the end of the pier were shorted out. We were unable to do any night fishing, which was the reason we booked this place instead of others. We really enjoyed the pool and the neighbors were very nice.

Almost a great place to stay

Great location and clean. Tried to reach property manager, but got a recording and could not get through to a person. Tried emailing twice and never got a response. The bed was pretty worn out and very difficult to sleep in. I was reaching out for extra sheets, so I could sleep on the coach. Instead, I rotated the mattress which helped. I rarely get frustrated, but could not believe the contract sent to me about 3 days before arriving. It was detailed about how much toilet paper was provided and allowed, charges if you leave something on the property (shipping and an excessive handling fee), the fee if you failed to clean up dog scat, etc. The fee that shocked me was that you would be charged if a hurricane prevented you from using the lodging. It stated that people would be watching us while on the property and would turn us in if we brought an extra dog. Then, they tried to upscale an insurance plan. The fees charged for cleaning, admin, owner, etc were the most excessive I have been chatged All that stated, the location was great, it was spotless and everything worked. It was nicely decorated, too.

I am unable to find a voicemail or a phone call from you during your stay however, I did locate your email concerning the bed issue. Please accept our apologies for not addressing that with you right away. You mentioned your disbelief in the email we sent to you three days prior to your arrival which would be your check in instructions. One section of the email provides guest with a list of what we provide at the home. And the other provides a list of what we suggest you bring along. We do try to be as detailed as possible and give as much information as we can to each guest prior to their arrival. El Flamingo is a wonderful property! As you stated it is located in a great area of Rockport. Very well stocked and clean!

These pictures are quite old on the website. This place is ok but I would not stay at it again. I would say it is about the same as staying at on old Hotel 8. Host was friendly and the process to check in and out was seamless.

Love the fact that we could bring our dog. I love the location. The cottage itself was great. Wonderful property, wonderful staff, wonderful stay. This is the second time I've stayed at a Miss Kitty's property. Both time have been excellent.

Sunrise Surprise

Got to the property about a half hour early, not allowed to check in due to inspection. After we got in the unit the bed was shown as a Queen, but it was a Full size. Not very comfortable either. Went to back yard to walk our dog and the grass was taller the she was. Later that night we went to bed only to wake up about 4am sweating because the A/C had gone out. Could not get ahold of the maintenance department until 9am. They could not repair the unit, so we packed up and left. Gut a call later from Miss Kitty's who was the property manager and the offered to move us to another property. The rest of our stay was good once we got there, but it took about 6 hours of our 36 hour stay.

Needs upgrades

The ice box leaked for 2days never fix only brought towels to soak up water. Pool wasn't clean on arrival. 2bed room no cable cord to wall unit icemaker didn't work we made the best of the stay work

Flamingo cabin

Staff was great, helping with tv operation and other requests. Cabin was cute, original art was lovely and reflected the cabin theme. Bed was great as was the AC...very hot outside during our stay.
