Perfect lake house! It was so nice to have a dock where we could swim, fish, lounge and park the boat. There is a yard for kids to play. Great location to restaurants. Owner was very responsive. We had a great time! Plus, the lake is gorgeous.
Great Weather; Great Week. Property was great. Plenty of rooms for a family vacation on the lake. House was great with nice big porch. Water front with a new dock and swim float was used everyday. Good location relative to Harrison and Bridgton downtowns.Looking forward to returning.
Lovely house on beautiful Long Lake. The house is roomy with all amenities that we needed. Enjoyed the scent of pines while we walked down to the nice new dock. We brought our own kayaks but also used the canoe. While you can hear the traffic from the street, it was quiet most of the time.
The lake house has the rustic feel of a Maine cabin with modern conveniences. The interior is more roomy than it appears in the photos. Being about 25 years old, the structure is relatively new. There are some maintenance issues, such as soft decking on the entry deck and side deck and the stone steps from the parking lot should be replaced for safety when carrying luggage in and out of the house. Overall, these issues did not detract from having a great vacation at Long Lake.
Very nice location on a beautiful lake. The set up of the house was nice for a group. The grounds could be great. My only complaint is that the grass hadn’t been mowed for quite a while. It was up to our knees. I reached out to the owner and he said someone would be coming. No one ever came. It was unfortunate because we brought yard games that we couldn’t use. Also, there is not a swim platform, but that was ok because the dock was large and very nice. If the grounds were kept up it would be great
The location and property was great. Interior was very clean. There was plenty of room for us to relax and move around.
The only drawback was the steps to the front entrance. The floor boards at the entrance (front entrance) sagged when you stepped on it, and it felt like it was going to give way and possibly get injured.
There was no AC so we brought window ACs which we needed because it was hot and humid during our stay.
I didn't see anything in the listing about bringing our bed linens. I contacted the owner and he confirmed that we needed to bring our own linens. The owner was responsive to my MANY questions, and it was appreciated.
This is a great house on a beautiful lake in Maine. A very well-equipped kitchen offers everything guests need, including a fully-stocked spice cabinet. The tap water is drinkable and tastes good. The large dining table doubles as space for games and cards. There is ample sleeping space for our family of 8. Our grandsons cooked s’mores over the outdoor fireplace on the deck. There are some wooden structures in need of repair which others have mentioned. We appreciate the long, sturdy dock with built in benches. The swim float wasn’t available for use. There is a canoe with paddles and some life vests.
The important things for us: being together as a family in Maine, kids in the lake every day, hearing the loons at night.
We had a great stay in Bridgton. The area has a lot to offer; we could have stayed another week.
Steve was very attentive regarding any issues with the home and we appreciated his efforts.
Regarding the property, this is a great family vacation for children 7+ and adults without mobility concerns. The land is woodsy and the steps are made of natural rock. We originally had considered bringing the grandparents but it didn't work out and we ended up thankful for that because their mobility would have been a challenge.
Regarding children, the dock and swim dock are sturdy and modern but they drop right off into 6+ feet of water. There is no beach area to wade in. Our girls are solid swimmers so they jumped right off and had a blast. If this trip had been during their toddler years, we would have been on high alert watching them.
The location was great! We loved this end of Long Lakes. It wasn't overpopulated w/boats.We rented a pontoon boat &loved the being able to pull right up to the dock.We were bummed the swim float wasnt there but we're told its being replaced. The kitchen is extremely well stocked for any type of cook! There is every kind of game you can imagine to play on a rainy day.The bathroom was in the middle of a remodel & lacked a mirror but will fabulous once completed. Some minor maintenance & updates that would make this house an even better place to rent.. The slider doors should be replaced. They are old & kept coming off the runners making them difficult to close and bugs would get in the house because they would not close tightly. Upstairs should have an ac unit in the bedroom it gets extremely hot up there even with 4 fans going! The inside window sills should be cleaned. They were pretty disgusting & loaded with dead bugs. The cusions on the outdoor couch should be thrown away and replaced. The firepit area is overgrown and has poison ivy. This is a great area if the landscaping was kept up regularly. Steve was very responsive & even drove up from Boston to take care of the trash from the prior renters that the trash company never came to take. Again, these were minor issues to my family. We are hoping to rent again from Steve if we don't find a place of our own to buy. It was one of our best vacations and confirmed our expectations that the Lake life is the best life!
Steve was quick to respond with questions. The house and location were great for a lake vacation. The swim platform was being replaced when we visited and Steve let us know this prior to our stay.
We had an amazing week at this property on Long Lake. The house had everything we needed and the dock and setting was perfect. We spent lazy afternoons on the dock, swimming, floating and kayaking. Our daughters and friends are in their late teens/twenties and they loved exploring the towns nearby. At night we played games on the big family room table. We would definitely rent this property again.
Enjoyed our annual vacation with our extended family.
The house was nice, plenty of room. Open space perfect to set up the cornhole game for our couples "tournament". The fans supplied in the bedrooms need a serious cleaning. So dirty we were reluctant to use them. The three stairs to the main entrance were a challenge, especially when moving in and out.
This is our second summer staying on Long Lake and we LOVED this place. The dock and the swim out float are amazing, the place is clean and roomy (we had 7 adults and an 18month old). It comes fully equipped with everything you need (minus linens) and we had a great time. A short drive to the essentials plus a lot more. Would highly recommend!

GREAT Location on the lake, HOWEVER......
This was a perfect location on the lake. We had a difficult time getting our kayaks down to the lake. Some positives.....easily fit our family (though the kitchen was awkward). The house was nicely secluded and had a great view of the lake.
However, we wanted to note some not so positive issues with the house/property:
1. The front stone steps are uneven and unsafe. No handrail and uneven, awkward stepping down the stone steps for even the healthiest person.
2. Step on front stoop is loose
3. House is in dire need of a deep cleaning. Cob webs EVERYWHERE throughout the house. Diningroom had a lot of clutter. Would have been nice to have had the room as shown in the pic on the listing.
4. No AC meant we had to rely on open windows, which we were fine with. However the window screens were FILTHY and not all were secure/had gaps so bugs easily came in. The box fans and other fan provided were filthy as well. The 2 screen doors kept coming off/falling onto the deck.
5. The deck needs to be refinished....plenty of slivers were pulled out during our week.
6. Bushes need to be trimmed. Couldnt walk on the walkway without hitting them.
Communication with the property manager was nonexistent until about a week out. The checkin/checkout times were different than what was on our rental agreement.

Cozy cabin in beautiful wooded setting
Our group of 7 adults stayed here for an extended family Christmas celebration. The cabin was a bit small given that many people, but we knew it would be before we booked it. Steve was extremely responsive to a couple of minor concerns we had during our stay, and everything was resolved quickly and satisfactorily. I can see that this would be a lovely rental for a family or group needing only 3 bedrooms -- especially in the summer when you could take advantage of the waterfront. The location is very convenient for access to the neighboring towns; only 5 minutes into either Bridgton or Harrison.

Perfect Lake Location!
There were a few wonky things about the property, but once you get on the lake you are in heaven! Great dock--you won't want to go inside!
Someone needs to do a deep cleaning of all the rooms, kitchen, drawers, window screens, and furniture. And I mean a good solid cleaning! (Were the dust ruffles on those beds EVER washed?)
Additionally, the screen door to deck needs to be replaced. Do not trust your kids too close to the deck railing--it, too, needs work.

Excellent stay + host!
We celebrated New Years with a weekend away in Maine. Steve's property is fantastic, the photos don't do it justice! It was spacious yet cozy and had everything you need for a weekend away. We really enjoyed the exterior fireplace, full kitchen and the open living space. Steve was very responsive and let us know about plowing + shoveling prior to our arrival. It was a great stay overall.

Beautiful house!
Perfect property for a family with pets. The house was a perfect fit for the 6 adults and two water crazy dogs. We spent most of our time out on the dock and boating. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather all week. The outdoor fireplace was a hit with all!

Relaxing week at a nice camp
Our family of 4 recently returned from a week long stay at this lakeside camp in Bridgton. The house is very conveniently located just off Rte 302. The traffic from the road can be heard but it is not disruptive. The house is well equipped, especially the kitchen. The bedrooms are nice and fans were provided for each room which was very nice as we had very warm weather during our stay. The path to the lake is very accessible and has some nice pathway lights so you can see your way to the dock in the dark to stargaze. The edge of the lake is typical Maine- rocky. Totally expected at a Main lakeside camp. The dock is a nice size with 2 benches. There is a mooring that the owner requests to be used for tying up a boat however the owner does not provide a means to get to the mooring. A canoe or kayak would have been nice and made access to the mooring much more accessible. The swim platform was very enjoyable as the sun disappears from the dock early afternoon.
The owner was very responsive when we had questions and very easy to work with. All in all we had a nice week.

Very nice clean home with great space, owners kept in touch, and provided contact info if needed.
Very nice space and clean home. Owners kept in touch and were very pleasant. The home for my family perfectly and kitchen stocked with dishwear and pans, which was a great help. Very convient having a dishwasher! My only complaint is there was no beach, and lots of rocks on the property that was not good for young kids. May skinned knees over the week.

Quiet, comfortable cabin
This place was very nice, the kitchen had everything you need, the bathrooms were nice and clean, it has a very nice large deck and a large property. THe house has a large dining table which is great because everyone can sit down together. It is very quiet and peaceful. The dock and swim platform were great. It is a very nice lake. The town of Bridgton has several nice restaurants and things to do. We enjoyed our time here very much.

A Lakeside Home with a Few Problems
My family and I stayed at this rental house in July. The swimming was good. There was a nice, well-maintained dock and a float that my children enjoyed. The house was clean and had plenty of space. The kitchen was well-equipped and there were many board games that our family enjoyed playing during our week long stay. Unfortunately, there were some problems with the house and the responsiveness of the owner. Upon arrival there were six full trash bags and two empty boxes on the porch. The owner requested that we move the previous renter's trash to the trash bins. We did so but there were not enough trash bins to put all the trash so we had to find a transfer station to bring the remainder of the trash. Also, twice during our stay it rained in the evening. The roof in the laundry room leaks and we had to clean up large amounts of water on the floor. When we notified the owner he stated that he was aware of the roof leak. Finally, the house has an ant problem. We were constantly finding ants in the kitchen crawling all over the counters. We informed the owner of the ant problem and instead of sending a professional exterminator he sent a woman and her young child who put out ant traps from the local hardware store. The traps were not effective and we had to contend with ants for the duration of our stay.
