The first floor of Ruby Redbird Roost is an apartment with a kitchenette, living area, bedroom, and full bathroom. This apartment has two queen-size beds and a queen-size sleeper sofa. The one-car garage has been transformed into a game room with table tennis and arcade games for kids of all ages. Apartment guests can access the main house by the outside staircase.

The second floor of Ruby Redbird Roost in the main house has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The primary bedroom offers a comfy king-size bed, TV, en-suite bathroom, and private balcony access. The second guest bedroom has a queen-size bed and TV. The third guest bedroom is perfect for a kids' slumber party with two sets of twin-over-twin bunk beds.

The main living areas are located on the third floor with spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico from the balcony! Kick back and watch your large flat-screen TV after a day at the beach. Just off the living room is the dining table that seats 16. Your fully equipped kitchen is just over the breakfast counter from the dining area.

Absolutely beautiful fully equipped house. We all loved it.Had plenty of space for all of us. The views up top on the roof balconies were spectacular would love to come back again. No problems with check in or out. The community pool was cool and relaxing.

Ruby Redbird Roost

We will definitely be coming back next year! The house was exactly as described. Very clean and spacious for 9 people. It also had toys for the kids which was a huge hit. We loved that you could see the ocean from the balcony and roof top. Overall, great stay!

The house is nice and clean. A great gated neighborhood and loved the short golf cart ride to the beach. The rooftop deck was amazing to watch sunrises and sunsets with an ocean view. Overall, great house and enjoyed our stay!

Family Trip

We had 3 households staying there and still had plenty of room. Kitchen was more than big enough for 3 cooks at a time. Location was great for access to pool, beach, and shopping. We had a great time. Thank goodness for the elevator. It made getting all our things to the various floors. Would rent again.

Anniversary/Yearly Family Beach Trip

Loved the place!!! So much room!!! And even had stuff to keep my 2 toddlers entertained!!! The elevator inside maked it easy to travel from each floor with 2 toddlers.

For Our Mom

The house was beautiful and worked out great to accommodate our family. Lots of board games for the kids. As the primary cook the kitchen was sufficiently stocked with the essentials. I will say the only minor issue was the can opener which was tough utilize and may need replacing. Beds were comfy and considering how warm it was Memorial weekend the house remained pretty cool. Overall great home and LOVED the mornings from the top deck taking in the beach views!

Family Reunion on the Beach

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo we rented was really cute, nicely decorated and had most of the things we needed. We expected Beach front because of the description found on several different internet sites, it wasn't at all. We didn't expect to have a partial ocean view, but unless you went up to the roof you didn't get that great of a view, we had elderly grandparents that couldn't climb the steps to the roof. The house was dirty when we arrived, but we all pitched in and did a quick clean up, we decided to ignore it and just have a great time, we did have a magical week and everyone wants to go back, just to a different property oh yeah, we all came home with head lice, oh well, life happens, still had a great time

Amazingly Relaxing!

The home was more beautiful than the pictures! The kitchen had everything you needed to cook meals for the family. There were also pack and plays, booster seats, beach toys,and boogie boards for the kids. The golf cart was a hit with everyone! Overall an outstanding experience. My family is already planning next year's trip!

I did enjoy our stay but have not received a refund of the $500 deposit for the elevator usage. When should I expect that to be received. There was quite a lot of separate usage involved it would be more pleasant if that could be more streamlined.

We had 9 of us who stayed at Ruby Redbird Roost this past week and enjoyed it very much. Despite it being Texas Spring Break week, it was in a quiet location. The house has everything you would need in the kitchen, toys for kids and plenty of room. The elevator helped get groceries up the 3 flights of stairs. All in all, 9 of us give it 2 thumbs up!

Fun in the Sun

Great! We stayed we n the same place two years ago. Loved all of the different levels with eleven of us! We did find that there were fewer amenities than last time. No salt? Very little toiletries and towels. (Being honest). . But overall, it was really a nice vacation. The neighbors on both sides were very friendly. Thanks for the great memories and getting to enjoy Port A once again. 🥳😎

Great stay

Had a great stay with the family. A few things could be a bit more clear on check in...1st the golf cart does come with rental but you need to go get it, the rental place closes at 6. Had to get it the next morning. A map of the community is on frig...until we found it didn't know where pools or dumpsters were located. On 2nd floor a bit of a mold smell was present. And chairs could be added to master porch. Had to stand to enjoy.. The rails on the 3rd floor were broke on the right side up next to the house and 4th floor railings are very weak, we could see that were several others houses had broke railings to. Think the high winds make the doors hit railing. The backyard could be maintained a bit better with rock, coverage was spotty. Low propane so we didn't use grill brought a small portable with us to use. Really all in all it was a good place, just could use a bit if a touch up...master shower was great, pools great, shopping great and beach very close about 7 minutes by golf cart. We were a group of 12..6 adults, and 6 kids(13, 11, 8, 4, 3 and 18 mos).

I loved the location the house was beautiful but the only tv that worked was in the living room the water hoses did not work I could not get the bottom door open with the code that was provided. It was ok. Would have been better if everything that it said was included worked.

The Yellow House called Ruby Redbird !

The place was clean and had everything. It also had roaches coming out of the wall. I read a previous post about roaches but I did not believe it. But, we have photos and video footage. I brought bug spray with me. The railing on the balconies is a safety hazard. On the 2nd floor mb the rail by the door is really bad!!! The advertisement for an arcade game is false. There is an old arcade machine but it’s not connected and there is no cords. So, it’s false advertisement!! THERE IS NO BEACH ACCESS FROM THIS PROPERTY AND THE WALK IS FAR.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As a return visitor to Village Walk, I was disappointed with this property since the one we had stayed at previously (just last month) was so superior and so clean and very well appointed. There is no master closet so we had to use other guest bedrooms closet, the decor is very dated and dusty. The family room has no lamps so there is no way to tone down the overhead lights and there is no outdoor furniture on the top deck which is why people stay in this unit. The grounds to the house are terrible with no plants or decor what so ever or chairs to sit on besides a very dirty picnic table. Our previous house was so beautiful inside and out so yes the bar was set very high but I expected there to be more consistency since this house was actually more expensive. The pluses to this house are the beds were super comfortable, the master shower head was very relaxing and the downstairs studio was a hit for my teenagers.

Reviewer Comments: The house was very clean and well stocked with all ameneties. all the amenities were in working order. no network or cable tv in the main living room. that would have been nice, but definitely not a big deal. arcade game system didn't work nor even have a plug. the other wii gaming system did not work. The old school arcade was one of the deciding factors between that and another one, so that was kind of disappointing, but also not a huge deal. just may want to get that all sorted for future guests. We really like the properties in the village walk, but both times we have stayed here the main gate code keeps changing and we are never notified, so that would be nice to get a better process around. management was very helpful. especially the golf cart folks. they went above and beyond to help us out when we arrived after they closed and when our cart broke down. major gold star to them for their level of service. Overall definitely a good experience. we will go back to the properties of VW and the folks at Silver Sands have been excellent to work with and provide a fantastic level of service.

Beautiful house/needs some updates/great location

This was a prefect rental for a multi-family vacation, plenty of space, great layout & beautiful views!! The house was decorated very cute, stocked with great kitchen items & great for people with kids (lots of extra toys & a booster seat)! One thing they should include is a baby gate, we had 2 under the age of 1 & the stairs were a problem. There also was an elevator which was SO nice to use to bring up our things in. The drive to the beach was very short, & the free golf cart was a great addition. I do wish the property management group would have told us at check-in or on their app somewhere about the permit requirement to drive your vehicle on the beach (we got a $75 ticket!). We did have several issues with the rental which is the reason for giving 3 stars - we tired brushing them off & enjoy our vacation but I think after the amount we paid it should be recognized that there needs to be some updates for the next renters. First & the most critical was that the refrigerator was not cooling properly & didn't begin to cool to a proper temperature until our 3rd day!! We had bought almost $500 worth of food & half of it spoiled! We had to put most of it back into the cooler we brought & intended on using at the beach in order for it to be saved. We called maintenance & were told it would be a service fee for someone to come out, which is ridiculous!! Then when they came out we were just told to take some of the stuff out because we had too much in the refrigerator & it was an older one so we overloaded it. They said they would come back out again the next morning to check on it. Well it still wasn’t working - & they still just told us to give it more time. So not only did we have to pay them money but we didn’t even get an adequate solution. A working refrigerator is a crucial thing to have when 12 people are staying there for 5 days. I hope they get a new one for the next renter. The dishwasher also was not working properly. We ran it several times & each time the soap dispenser door did not open so the pod was still in it & wasn’t dissolved, therefore no clean dishes. The house also had a lot of cockroaches! Which we just tried to deal with & screamed a little & then kill them but the property management should really do a better job at treating for them. Overall we had a great time & the place was beautiful! We would stay there again if they did some updates on the appliances.

Wanna Getaway - Come Here!

This was a wonderful experience - especially for a first time!! We had family visiting from Phoenix and they loved it. The place was spacious and very comfortable. The house had everything you could think of. The beach was beautiful!

The acade game shocked my daughter. A plug in the downstairs bathroom shocked my niece. No outside lights worked. The BBQ pit was trash should of been replaced long ago. Only 1 tv worked out of the 5 TVs. AC vents falling off so many more little thing. Called the rental company no one showed up to fix a thing.
