At your service

As soon as you arrive at The Pearl we want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We offer a full concierge service if you desire that extra level of comfort during your stay. Lewis, our villa manager is here to facilitate an extra special experience, booking boat trips, private driver service, booking tables at the best bars and restaurants, showing you the best beaches and waiting on you around the island.

You'll be met at the Villa by our dedicated house staff, Rosie and Eddie, who will help you check in - as easy as bringing your bags inside and grabbing a drink from the fridge! We also offer amazing experiences at the villa such as a private chef, massage, yoga, bar tender and musicians, all from our trusted partners. Please ask Lewis for rates and availability. Grocery shopping can also be taken care of for you by Eddie's comprehensive stocking service.

As you make your journey you will no doubt marvel at the breathtaking views of the island, but rest assured that these sites are nothing compared to the environment in which Villa Oyster Pearl finds itself. Resting just above the bay of Dawn Beach, it barely takes a minuet to walk down our garden steps before you reach the white sandy beach and turquoise waters of the Carribean Sea. Facing due east, a cool sea breeze flows constantly through the Villa which creates an air of relaxation and refreshment unlikely to be found anywhere else.

Villa Oyster Pearl has mature and beautiful tropical gardens, featuring emperor palms, banana trees, coconut palms, frangipani and fragrant Jasmin. Experience the tranquility of sun bathing in complete privacy around our luxury 12 person marble hot tub or on our sun trap side terrace. Dawn Beach is blessed with beautiful white soft sand, playful surf for boogie boarding and one of the most absorbing snorkling locations on the island, shared only by a select few Villas and one Hotel.

The facilities at Oyster Pearl include a fully equipped kitchen, barbecue, pool, Hot Tub, snorkel and beach equipment, free wireless internet, and Internet TV - if you can bear looking away from the incredible panoramic balcony view!

We were a family of 12 eight adults, two children and two infants and the house has plenty of space. We didn’t even end up using one of the guest houses. Luis was just wonderful and we hired Paco the drivers two vans they were great. It was a wonderful stay would definitely come back.

Beautiful and Private Overlooking the Beach and Water

We had an amazing time at the Oyster Pearl. We had two families with us (4 adults, 5 kids under 15), and the house was amazing and plenty of room. Pool was bigger than we thought, and kids spent a ton of time in the great hot tub. Private beach with great crystal clear water, and steps from the Marriott beach as well. We rented cars,m the driving there is a bit crazy - small roads - but we learned and managed. The only tough paert is getting in and out of the driveway, it's a tight turn on a hill. We loved St. Martin and this house!

PARADISE!!!

Villa Oyster Pearl is perfect! We really enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend this property. The owner must have been working around the clock after the hurricane as everything was totally perfect. We used the beach below and it was completely private. There is a lovely deck above the beach for sunning. We spent most of our time at the villa as we found no reason to leave. We were in heaven!

From start to finish David was there to answer our questions and guide us to the best restaurant and activity choices. The new Rainforest zip line is a must, a great afternoons activity. St Martin beaches are beautiful, Dawn Beach has the softest sand and I enjoyed my morning yoga on the beach deck. We loved seeing the planes land and visited Marigot fish market. Made so many friends the local people are so easy to get into conversations with.

Perfect Anniversary Trip

Villa Oyster Pearl provides the perfect location for our anniversary celebration. The home offered 8 adults all the amenities & comforts of home including a well stocked kitchen, comfortable furniture & bedding. The owners thought of everything including pool toys, nice beach towels, sunscreen, beach chairs, & multiple sundews for privacy. The views from the home are stunning & made even better while having a cocktail by the pool. The location is perfect for experiencing both sides of the island with ease. Villa Oyster Pearls owners & staff made checking in a breeze along with attending to any needs we had during our stay. YEA! Back On Island!

Even though our trip was short this time it was great to be back on St Maarten. Villa Oyster Pearl made it thru the storms with flying colors. David and his team are continuing to make improvements and I think the new Jacuzzi will be ready for our extended stay later this season. There were several restaurants open nearby and we went to Simpson Bay one night. There is a new Grand Marche that rivals US supermarkets. Beaches were great. There were beach chairs at the villa we could use. The greenery is back so things look good all around. Thank you for the great job getting your villa up and running!

A time to celebrate!

Our stay was a perfect celebration in which Lewis not only helped us plan but became part of our family! We had everything we could possibly need, including plenty of space for 14 of us to spread and a well stocked kitchen! Housekeeping was great, Felicia prepared a delicious Caribbean meal one night and to our delight Lewis entertained us with his beautiful music! He is quite talented and turned us all on to acoustic music! We could not have planned a better week of jet skis, 4 wheel tour of the island, scuba and so much more, without Lewis’s help and suggestions. Well done my friend and thank you again for a lovely time of celebration with our family!

Relaxing getaway with plenty of room

A group of friends and I stayed at the villa for a night during the week of my wedding. David met us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the property. He gave us tips for where to eat and he even included a bottle of champagne for us to celebrate the pending nuptials. Wonderful host! The villa is so spacious! There were 10 of us and at no time did we ever feel crowded. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms to accommodate us all. The villa was exactly as described and pictured. We loved opening up the sliding doors and feeling the breeze while sitting inside. Relaxing on the patio, listening to the ocean and taking in the views while enjoying our breakfast was definitely a highlight of the trip. We will absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful House - Westin Resort is a problem

This is a wonderful house. But the view from the house is right over the top of the back of a massive Westin commercial hotel complex. That's not to say that you don't have a beautiful view of the ocean - you definitely do, but the hotel is an eyesore - so be prepared. Also note that the Westin has basically taken over Dawn Beach and that the security folks at Dawn Beach are constantly walking by asking your room number - annoying at best. but all in all its a beautiful house run by great people.

Slice of Paradise

We spent one fabulous week with our adult children and grandchildren at Villa Oyster Pearl. Between the main house and the adjoining guest house, each family unit had plenty of personal space to be private with enough large spaces to spend time gathering together. Waking up and having breakfast on the beautiful patio while the kids played in the pool was priceless. The owner was easy to contact and responded to any questions in a timely fashion. He arranged for Paco, a local driver, to pick up our parties at the airport. He was also available to take us to stores, beaches and restaurants. Paco was a reliable and safe way to get around the island. Views from the house of the bay are stunning. The walk down to the beach had many steps but it's well maintained. We stayed during the summer, when the sargassum bloom is at its height, making our private beach unswimable. However, the adjoining hotel rakes their beaches daily and has a beach bar, which we utilized most days. Our family made beautiful memories on our trip to Villa Oyster Pearl, and we would definately stay again!

Excellent Vacation Spot

The pictures don't do this villa justice. Everything in the house was immaculate and very clean. Did not see one bug/mosquito the entire trip. Cathy, the caretaker, was very knowledgeable about where to shop for groceries and where to get certain items you may need. She has 3 dogs on the property, but they're very friendly (except to the iguanas) and will come up to you just to say hello. We had 6 adults and one 8-month-old. The villa comes with a crib for an extra charge, which was great to have for the baby. This time of year, early September, the beaches were almost completely empty. Being in such close proximity to the Westin, we thought there would be more people, but I guess not too many people travel here during hurricane season, which made it a very private setting the entire time for us. It is a little hike down to the beach, but well worth it. There are plenty of reefs to scout out by snorkeling, which we took advantage of almost every day. The shopping in Philipsburg on Front Street and Back Street was great, lots of shops. Marigot is very nice too, it is on the other side of the island, and they have flea markets over there.

Just ok.

It should be noted that the house is not on the beach, there are many(Sometimes tricky) steps down to the beach which is not suitable for older guests or kids. The beach is shared with the Westin which has the better part of the beach. At the base of the stairs up to the house is large and sometimes stinky runoff drain. We did sneak in to the Westin once and decided it would be best to stay there in the future if we were to go back. The property manager probably ruined the experience for us the most. She was intrusive and in the house every day and called often; quite plainly she treated us like children. There were envelopes depicting to leave tip and what amounts to leave including a barbecue cleaning fee. She took both parking spaces making it impossible for us to safely exit the very narrow and steeply sloped driveway. She moved the cars once for us upon request but put them right back in after we left. The house was very nice and the view was perfect, but some of the appliances had issues while we were there. Overall I don't think I would stay there again, but it seems others had a much better experience than we did so you would just have to see for yourself I guess.

Beautiful Villa !

We had a party of 9, 4 older (55 or so) adults and 5 in their 20's. The house was absolutely stunning, the bedrooms were very comfortable and the Villa was more then big enough for the 9 of us. We loved the pool, the views were amazing, and the location was very good for venturing out to other parts of the island. I can not say enough about how well the owner has maintained his beautiful home. The house managers I was disappointed with. Cathy and Mario. Our flights were delayed over 2 hours but when we arrived at the Villa our drinks were not in the refrigerator. I paid $50 for shopping and after 2 long flights and a long travel day I kind of expected cold drinks. Cathy gave us 2 keys / remotes for three cars. The house has a gate that needs to be open and closed to get in and out of the driveway. I explained to Cathy that a house that sleeps 10 with the potential of 4 couples needs a minimum of 4 remotes / keys. I was basically told too bad, we don't have them. Eventually after I explained that since we have no way of communicating by phone or text she let us use her remote. I think some one must of lost a set or two and they didn't replace them. Mario was rude, their dogs barked at 5 in the morning and I felt like the house couple wanted us to work around their schedules. Unfortunately this took away from a very nice vacation. As much as I loved the home, our next visit will be somewhere else. The walls to the balcony are low, I would not stay there with small children.

Outstanding!

Villa Oyster Pearl is spetacular. David has created an oasis with in his property. Walking into the home, there was a candle lit and fresh flowers. The décor inside the home is lovely, light and airy. A cozy atmosphere, wonderful layout, very comfortable beds, and the large and extra soft bathroom towels makes you feel right at home. Plenty of kitchen utensils, pots, pans along with a large gas stove to make appetizing meals from the food you can purchase at the near by grocery store which is stocked with lots of choices. The ocean view is fantastic from almost all parts of the home, inside and out. Many wonderful, little details, too many to mention. All of this plus, the kindness, knowledge, recommendations, and flexibility of David made our stay extra special. Upon arrival, we had a fresh, home-made meal prepared for us by Gabriel. The tastes were superb and all of our five kids, ranging in age from 9-18, loved it. You are able to arrange other meals made by Gabriel, throughout your stay. If you are looking to dine out, there are many yummy choices for restaurants on the island as well. So many things to do on the property. There is a plethora of snorkel gear and boogie boards. There are several areas to spread out and enjoy the tranquility of the property. The pool sits perfectly perched right outside the great room and master bedroom surrounded by an outdoor dining area, couches and an area with several lounge chairs. A beautiful, fragrant path leads down to the hot tub, lined with lush greenery and flowers. Huge palm leaves surround part of the hot tub, plus nice lounge chairs with amazing view of the ocean. There is another, seperate sun deck, and steps from that is the beach which also had a few lounge chairs and a couple of umbrellas. We loved all the different outdoor options on the property. Something for everyone! Our trip was outstanding! Would highly recommend Villa Oyster Pearl!

Honeymoon of our dreams

My husband and I stayed at Villa Oyster Pearl for 7 nights and it wasn't nearly enough. From the absolute gorgeous views, the comfortable furniture, relaxing bedrooms, modern appliances and bathrooms, to the relaxing pool and hot tub; this Villa did not disappoint. The rooms were all cleaned thoroughly by Rosie, the housekeeper. The communication with Lewis was on-point. He also provided some great recommendations for restaurants and set up an amazing boat charter for us! The property is in a safe area with a security gate for peace-of-mind. We had Felicia the private chef cook us dinner and brunch - she came highly recommended by Lewis and was well worth the reasonable cost! Everyone on island was so friendly. The Villa was PERFECT. We highly recommend Villa Oyster Pearl for anyone looking for relaxation and comfort. We hope to come back again soon! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

My name is Lewis, im from Yorkshire in the UK and i'm so pleased you've decided to check out my villa for your vacation! I promise, you won't find a villa on St Maartin with a more relaxing and rejuvenating atmosphere.

For over 30 years, Villa Oyster Pearl has been quietly sitting on the hillside above Dawn Beach. After hurricane Louis devastated the island, Villa Oyster Pearl stood solemn against the landscape, despite being almost derelict and mostly uninhabited.

Almost 10 years after that devastating hurricane, my father travelled to St. Maarten trying to find a place for the benefit himself and his family. He searched for a place that inspired a connection between building and inhabiter, a hidden and private place to relax in luxury. He purchased the Villa in 2003 and renovated it, added more bedrooms and buildings to the property, and started letting friends families stay at first, and then putting the property up to rent for all in 2014. We've welcomed hundreds of families like yours to the Villa, all of whom have fallen in love with it, just like my father did. In 2020 I took over the running of the Villa, as my father sought retirement, and in 2024 he sold up and left St Maarten.

The new owners graciously kept me on to manage the property, meaning you, our guests, get my 20 years experience of having lived in and worked at the villa, and on Sint Maarten for what is for many families, a trip of a life time. My goal it to make your vacation one you will never forget.

Dawn Beach is one of the biggest assets at the villa. Its waves are big rollers to the north end of the beach, and none-existant in the south, giving you the best of both worlds. Protected by a reef to snorkel in and explore while the current drifts you effortlessly back to the beach stairs to the house. The water is warm year round!

Oyster Pond village is home to two of the best restaurants on the island, BZH and Oasis - both French with a Caribbean twist - with excellent service and incredible wine lists. There is also the best Pizza on the island available from Mama Pizza, just a 2 minute drive away, for those nights when you just want to laze around on the couch and catch a movie.

St Maarten of course is the other reason to come to the villa. An island which has a bit of everything for anyone. Adventure on the water or inland, 2 zip lines, mountain hikes, incredible beaches, the culinary capital of the Caribbean, high rolling at the casino, bars and clubs, relaxing spa's and romantic sunsets.
