Enjoy Astoria, Long Beach, the Columbia River, and the Pacific Ocean .

Come, sit back and relax, and then get up and enjoy the water, hills, mountains, river, and history. You will be warm & cozy watching sunsets in front of the fireplace. If you are lucky enough to be here during a storm, there is nothing like experiencing the wind and the waves right on the water. Many things to do locally - run, walk, hike, sightsee - and then off to Astoria, Long Beach, or down the coast for the day.
Chinook is central to both Astoria (Oregon) and the Long Beach Peninsula (Washington) - 7 miles North or South. You can enjoy seasonal activities, such as the Columbia River Crossing, Hood-to-Coast, clam digging, bird watching, Wine Walks, kite flying, and traveling down the Oregon Coast (including Seaside, Cannon Beach, and Manzanita). We offer EV Level 2 charging on-site (kWh fees apply). Charter fishing can be arranged from Ilwaco (5 miles), from Astoria, or heading south to Lincoln City, Newport, and Depoe Bay.
The home is 3,000 sq ft, four bedrooms, and sits on two very private acres with open land for games, hide-and-seek, or parking. We are situated on the water, offering an unobstructed view to the south, west, and north. The home is custom-designed, unique, and has incredible charm. Think wood, wood, wood - cedar, oak, maple—a very open design for family and friends, yet cozy because of the fireplaces and view.
Waterfront - The West side of the property features over 380 feet of waterfront and unobstructed views of the Columbia River, the Columbia River Bar, and Baker Bay: water, water, water.
Bedrooms - There are two bedrooms, both with King-Size beds: one downstairs and the second upstairs. Two additional bedrooms are located upstairs, each featuring a queen bed.
There are three bathrooms. One full bathroom is located downstairs, next to the living room, and another is situated on the second floor, which has a bathtub but no shower. A 3/4 bath is downstairs just down the hall, next to the laundry room. Additionally, upon exiting the beach, there is an outdoor hot and cold shower available for cleaning up.
Outdoor Enjoyment - A BBQ sits on a huge deck out back, next to the water, and is fantastic for friends and family. Nothing beats just ending the day sitting on the deck watching the sun go down or the Bald Eagles fly over (we had five nesting this year). Our favorite is the feeling of the winter storms rolling in.
Bring your boat - The Chinook Marina slips are just 1/2 mile up the street and have both electricity and water. Unfortunately, sleeping on a boat overnight is not permitted in the marina. You are welcome to dock the boat and park the trailer back at the house—plenty of room.
Access is provided through the front door electronic keypad. You will have your unique key code to ensure simplicity and security. There are four doors to the outside, allowing you to enjoy coming and going from the front, back, and sides. The deck is accessible from both the first-floor bedroom and the family room.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Exceptional property, as well as exceptional host! Gorgeous views, clean and comfortable house, attentive and thoughtful host. Kitchen very well-equipped. Plenty of games and activities for all. Highly recommend.
You can't beat the location of this property. It's conveniently located between Astoria and Long Beach giving you access to numerous restaurants and activities in the area. The view is amazing and the bird watching incredible. The house if fully stocked with everything you need and more. I would definitely stay here again.
We loved this place! The amazing sunset's every night and the big tide changes! The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We will be booking again in the future. I highly recommend this vacation home. Thank you so much for sharing your home.
We couldn’t have had a more relaxed time at this home in Chinook. The house had everything needed for a comfortable stay and the location is perfect for anyone who wants to be close enough to…and far enough away… all at the same time. Book this property and you will NOT be disappointed.
We stayed for three nights with our kiddos, my mother, and her siblings (my aunts/uncles) to celebrate what would have been my grandfathers 100th birthday, and we couldn’t have asked for a better house! It was clean, spacious, had all the amenities we needed and many bonus features

Thank you, thank you, thank you. We would love to see you back soon. Highly recommend you to any of the other hosts that have a chance to read this.
This place was pretty incredible, we had zero complaints as a party of 4 coworkers staying here.
Being right on the river and watching the sun set nightly was fantastic.
The place overall was clean, neat, and in good shape.
This home is perfect! Right on the bay. Great communication with the host!

This was a pleasure hosting Jessica. Our home was left in wonderful condition and we would welcome them back at any time. We recommend them to you, as future hosts.
Excellent location and one of the most beautiful places we have stayed. The kitchen was missing a few things like a rolling pin, but it was quite well stocked with spices, pots and pans, and other kitchen implements.

Rolling pin to be added!
Thank you for staying w us.
This house is very well appointed and very comfortable - the view rocks! A group of 8 friends celebrated an early thanksgiving and we had everything we needed in the kitchen for our meal. The host is very responsive and was helpful in arranging extra bedding for us. A great stay, we hope to be back someday!
This place is a treasure. The views are spectacular and the architecture unique and elevated. A wonderful place to stay. The tidal fluctuations, the full moon on the water, a beautiful fire just at the waters edge— this place is elemental and totally family friendly for all ages. The outside is inside and it makes the house a destination onto itself even as it is perfectly situated to explore the magnificent surrounds. Highly recommend and would love to return.

This house provided a perfect location for our group of 6 for two nights. We really enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard along with the breathtaking views from really every room in the house. Very peaceful. The property owner was a great communicator and the house has everything you need in east to access locations.

Why they chose this property
Our home has unbelievable views of the ocean, river, bay, mountains, sunsets, sunrises, Bald Eagles). It is close to location Astoria, Ilwaco, Long Beach, on 2 very private acres on the water and off the road with ~380 feet of water front. Great for family gatherings (large house, large yard, and a county park 1/8 mile to the South. The home is warm, cozy, large enough to get lost in and read, and small enough for coffee time around the fireplace.
What makes this property unique
63 ft from the water. You get to experience both high tide (up to the rocks) and low tide (1/4 mile of sand). Winter storms are wonderful to experience sitting in the breakfast nook with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate. The marina is 1/2 mile up the road where you can dock your boat during your stay. Fish for salmon or go crabbing without having to travel.
