The spacious main floor boasts a large open-concept kitchen/living/dining area with soaring cathedral ceilings. The living room features a cozy fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows that reveal majestic views of the surrounding waterfront. There’s more than enough space on the second floor with two bedrooms, a three-piece bathroom, and a second sitting area overlooking the main living room below. The fully finished basement is an entertainment paradise with an interactive games room for those guests who have a competitive streak. The walkout basement also includes an additional guest room and three-piece bathroom.

AREA Located 2.5 hours from Toronto, Novar is an ideal destination for those looking for a winter or summer cottage getaway. For those who enjoy outdoor activities, the cottage is a short drive from Arrowhead Provincial Park, which offers scenic hiking trails during the summer months and ice skating, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing trails in the winter. Enjoy downhill skiing and snowboarding less than 30 minutes away at Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Resort. The cottage is also close to picturesque Burk's Falls, where visitors can enjoy stunning nature walks and scenery in all seasons.

NOTE: Snowmobiling, Boating and all water sports are inherently dangerous. You indemnify the owners of the rental property, their heirs and also their agent Muskoka District Rentals for any and all damage or injury that may occur due to water activities. Please make sure you wear proper lifejackets at all times on the water.

We had a fantastic stay at Muskokan Mirage. It is even better than the pictures. Such a beautiful spot and a well appointed house set up for a relaxing and fun holiday by the lake. The house had everything you could want and more. It was spotlessly clean and communication with the host was quick and easy. We would love to come back!

Lovely Family Retreat on Beautiful Mirage Lake

Lots of good spaces. Loved the upstairs sitting area attached to main and children's bedrooms, overlooking the living area. Adult children had a blast with the arcade games and puzzles. We all loved the gorgeous view of the lake and firepit. Our late October canoe ride around Mirage lake was peaceful and serene.

Perfect getaway

Highly recommend this property! From the minute we arrived we could tell every detail was looked after - 5 star hotel quality. Lovely welcome gift and card was an extra nice touch. Lots of activities to keep everyone engaged. Great grocery store within minutes of the cottage and Huntsville is a short drive away. Will come again!

Amazing cottage, very clean and well appointed. A thoughtful welcome gift was left for us. We enjoyed the canoe and especially the paddle boards, bocce ball and ladder golf. Also, we loved the Monopoly theme and the retro/antique game. We have stayed at other cottages and were not impressed with the cooking utensils/frying pans/dishes but these were clean and in great shape. The lake was beautiful, very calm. The lake bottom was rather mucky and seaweedy but obviously this is not possible to control. The queen beds were very comfortable but the bunk bed, which is where our adult son had to sleep, was not as comfortable and could have used a better mattress. Since this room would normally be used for children, I'm sure it would have been suitable for that purpose.

Relaxing and fun time!

My group and I planned a weekend getaway to celebrate three of us who have birthdays in April. The space and amenities was great for us to relax and chat together, play board games, cook together, and spend some time around the fire pit. We even got to canoe a bit despite the colder weather. The property was more than comfortable and equipped to stay in and enjoy! The selection of activities was great as well, it was nice to have a billiards table, some arcade games, and outdoor water activities/equipment. The area was nice and peaceful as well! Communication with the owners/property managers was easy and I appreciated that they checked in every so often via email to see how we were doing. Would definitely for groups to stay here!

The Ultimate Property for Family Fun!

Location: Boardwalk This was a wonderful place to stay for our group (ages ranged from 18-77 yrs plus one dog). The property was fantastically equipped to host and entertain all of us with plenty of space for everyone, roomy lounging areas, and abundant indoor/outdoor activities. Property: Park Place All supplies (linens, towels etc) were provided and the kitchen was extremely well-equipped so we didn’t need to bring anything except ourselves and our personal items. Additionally, with a great grocery store only 15 min away, there was nothing that was out of reach. Experience: Community Chest Every moment we spent here felt like drawing a "Get Out of Jail Free" card. The outdoor space worked really well for us as it was perfect for people with mobility issues so allowed all of us to enjoy the lakefront. With the onsite canoe, SUPs, lawn games, and fire pit, we were easily occupied the entire time. Our dog especially enjoyed swimming around the dock. We also appreciated the Monopoly themes throughout and enjoyed a family game of on the mega-sized board. Recommendation: Advance to Go! Monopoly themes aside, this is an excellent getaway and offers something for everyone.
