About this property
March Madness Snow Deals!!!!
BOOK for March !!! Enjoy all this SNOW!!! Welcome to our Mountain House Getaway!! Perfect spot for a family holiday ski vacation or summer mountain bike/hike trip. The house is located at the top of a quiet road, where you will find many outdoor attractions and activities all year round. As you enter the house there is a mudroom and laundry area. Three unique bedrooms (2 Queen rooms and 3rd room with 2 bunk beds) are located on the first level, along with a full bath. The Master bedroom is on the main/Upper level. As you enter the main level, you will see an open concept living area with a beautiful, stone, wood-burning Romford fireplace. The living area is set up with lots of seating to make yourself comfortable after a day of activity. The additional living space adds a great space to spread out- watch a movie, do some work, or tune your skis. The kitchen has been fully renovated with stainless appliances and granite countertops. It is fully equipped with all you would need to eat in, although there are a variety of options within minutes of the house if you choose to dine out. In addition we have also have a living area on a 3rd level with a woodstove and vaulted ceiling to take a break and unwind. In the front there is a driveway with ample parking with room for 3-4 vehicles.
World class alpine and nordic skiing are within minutes. Views of Lincoln Peak erupt through the trees in the driveway. Sugarbush North (Mount Ellen) sits 2 miles to the north, while Sugarbush South(Lincoln Peak) is only 1 mile to the south and Madriver Glenn sits another 4. For your convenience, there are a variety of bus services that can take you from place to place, if needed. Stowe Mountain Resort is an easy 50 minute drive to the northeast. Many other resorts are within an hour.
Warren, Fayston, and Waitsfield all merge within a couple miles of us. They are each unique towns, rich in history and Yankee flare. You wont find any restaurant franchises here, however, you will find some of the finest dining that money can buy. Ski, bike, Pubs, American Flatbread, Spas, apparel, antique, grocery and family owned country and art stores are in the plenty.
This is our families little gem, we have worked very hard for it, yet are willing to share it with other mature and responsible families and people looking to explore Vermont in.
Thank you for the interest, we hope you choose to stay here and create fond memories of your own.

About the host
Hosted by Kim McGlaflin
We are an active family that all love to ski and the great outdoors. We purchased the property to be closer to the mountain in the winter months. We quickly realized that there are many activities in the spring, summer, and fall as well.
We have enjoyed this home for many years, and as our children have grown and move to many areas in the world now, we understand that having a place you can gather as a family and make memories are so important. We have made this home as comfortable and friendly as possible for you, our guest.
Why they chose this property
We chose the location of the property because it is sandwiched between Sugarbush resorts two mountains. In addition, whether it be golf, hiking, fishing, biking, beautiful swimming holes, or glider rides summer in the Valley has an array of outdoor activities. Fall is postcard perfect, with shades of red, yellow and orange filling the crisp Valley air. Winter, well, you be the judge. Enjoy !!!!
What makes this property unique
What we enjoy most about the property is coming in after a long day on the slopes and relaxing with some good food and company next to a roaring wood burning fire. There are surely special nuances about being in an older ski house, which adds to the charm of being in the mountains. Its a wonderful way to unwind and enjoy some family time and make long lasting memories.
