About Sonja Moss
Hi, I'm Sonja, and my husband, Tom, and I built Ship's Quarters at Moss Landing on a piece of property we bought in 2006 near the beach in Ocean Shores. Well, actually my husband and our family did most of the building, but I got to furnish and decorate it! When I was 14, I found a picture of a little log cabin and taped it to the front of a notebook. I carried that picture with me for the next 20 years, always dreaming of the day I might be fortunate enough to have a cabin of my own. Then I married Tom. He and I have been building and remodeling things ever since we got married in 1998, but the possibility of building a log cabin was always there in the back of our minds. When we bought the property in Ocean Shores, we had an idea that we could build some type of vacation homes so people could enjoy the beauty of Ocean Shores, but nothing we could find really felt like the right thing. One day, we were talking about the property and what we might do, and we did another search on the internet. Voila, we found Conestoga Log Cabins. After researching and getting plans, we knew we were onto something. We are so fortunate to have had so many people stay at Moss Landing. Our guest book is full of heart-warming stories. This was our first cabin, but not our last. We now live in one cabin and have 3 vacation cabins on this site. And we love sharing them with people who are looking for an enchanting, relaxing, and original getaway. Bon Voyage!

Why Sonja Moss chose Ocean Shores
We never thought a place like Ocean Shores could exist. A friend told us about it and said she had bought a lot to build her own vacation home there. She said that there were still a few lots available for sale, so we took off for places unknown.....and we were delighted. We bought our lot the same day we arrived. We knew that it was a place we wanted to keep coming back to. Ocean Shores is a quaint little community with SO MUCH to do. People from all over Washington (and further) come to do clam digging, beach combing, storm watching, and kite sailing. There are so many wonderful things to do. You can even go horseback riding on the beach. We have found the people to be quite friendly here. It's a unique place and a wonderful nature spot. You just have to be willing to share the roadway with the local deer population. We were finally able to move here and live full time in Ocean Shores, and we started managing our own cabins in January 2013. It's been an awesome experience, and we're constantly amazed at all the wonderful guests that stay here. When you can actually meet the folks that stay in the cabin, it changes everything. We love getting to know our guests, and we thrilled just to be here!
What makes this cabin unique
Ship's Quarters at Moss Landing is a place to wind down and relax. Enjoy the silence of being at the end of the peninsula near the wildlife refuge. Feel the ocean breezes as you relax on the front porch. The solitude is peaceful. Nature is close and palpable. Storms occasionally come screaming in, but you are always safe, warm, and dry in our rustic, cozy cabins. There is as much or as little solitude as you want. You can enjoy the hot tub, barbeque your favorite foods, walk down to the beach, kick back and watch a movie, cook a gourmet meal. If ever a cabin could be a destination resort, this is it.
