🐚 The Granger House – Your perfectly imperfect island beach house!
If you’re looking for luxury countertops and designer throw pillows… this probably isn’t it.
But if you love sandy feet, salty air, kids running wild, and dogs living their best life, welcome home!
This cheerful, lived-in beach house is all about relaxation, laughter, and a little bit of chaos, the good kind. Located right in the heart of Lummi Island, you’ll be close to everything: the ferry, The Islander Store, Beach Store Café, post office, library, and more. And best of all? There’s a beach right across the street where you can dig clams, watch eagles, and make sand castles.
Inside, it’s exactly what you’d expect from a well-loved family beach house that been around for generations:
•A living room with front-row seats to Mt. Baker and the sea.
•A vintage kitchen that’s small but does the job.
•A den with a fireplace for board games, naps, and making memories.
The bedrooms are cozy and straightforward, one king, one queen, and a bunk room perfect for kids or anyone who still thinks bunk beds are fun. There is also a small sleeper sofa in the living room. There are two bathrooms, both with tubs for sandy-kid cleanups or post-clam-dig soaks.
Outside, you’ve got a big yard for dogs and humans alike, a grill, a picnic table, and endless space for yard games and stargazing.
The private beach across the street is ideal for building sand castles, beachcombing for treasures, and clam digging during low tide. Guests of all ages can enjoy hours of fun exploring the coastline and creating memories to last a lifetime.
If you plan to go clam digging, please check the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife website for current shellfish regulations and ensure you have the proper license 🦀
The Granger House isn’t fancy, but it’s real. It’s full of history, laughter, and the kind of island magic that comes from generations of family memories (and probably a few mismatched dishes). Come as you are, bring your crew (four-legged ones too), and get ready to unplug, unwind, and enjoy the simple joys of life by the sea.
