Stay at our recently renovated, beautiful, rural Iowa Farmhouse

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful country farmhouse.
Located in southeast Iowa, a short distance from Hwy218/27 on a hard surface county road.
No steps to enter the first floor, and we are pet friendly.
Large parking area with a two- car garage.
For your outside enjoyment there is a fire pit, abundant shade trees, rap around porch, and concrete patio with picnic table and barbeque grill.
A fully equipped kitchen and all linens and towels provided.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

The Best Place Ever

Bridal party

We had our wedding at the hitching post and we had a lot of out of town guests. It was super convenient to stay here instead of traveling 15 - 20 minutes to the closest hotel. Check in was super easy, very clean, and everyone had a great stay. Thank you so much!

Great Farm House

This was our first Vrbo experience. It was great!! Marty, the property manager, helped us with an issue, no problem. The home is very cozy and welcoming. It allowed our 82 year old father to really enjoy our trip to Iowa from Pennsylvania to Old Threshers. We would definitely stay here again!!!

What a wonderful homestead in a peaceful setting. We visited for the 4th of July weekend to unwind and keep our pups safe from the loud booms of fireworks in the city. It turned out to be a perfect weekend. The farmhouse, despite being built 100 years ago functions great for modern day living yet features the charm of Iowa country living. We spent a lot of time on the front porch watching the birds, rabbits, deer, and the nice thunderstorm that passed by. We had a picnic under the shade of a huge tree on the back lawn one afternoon and even spotted an eagle flying overhead. Needless to say, our time was enjoyable and we would certainly recommend the “Bentler Farm House” to all. The host was communicative through the VRBO app, respectful, and responsive. If you’re interested in a peaceful setting to spend some time away from “the grind” look no further.
