The Neighborhood:
The Telegraph Narrows carries with it an intriguing history. As the name suggests, it was once a place where morse code messages were sent across the water and received on the opposite side. Apart from this special piece of history, this body of water boasts some of the best fishing in the region, with it being named world class for its walleye populations. Tucked up on the northeast side of Prince Edward County, you’ll have easy driving access to wineries, restaurants, and the sights of PEC, while also relishing in the quiet of lakeside living. With plenty of outdoor space and privacy, Narrows Nook is the perfect place for lounging on the dock, taking in a sunset, and retreating to a quiet space for some time in nature.

We had a lovely time - it was very quiet. On a daily basis great blue herons and double breasted cormorants would fly by, just in front of the dock. Also white swans would paddle by!We visited the nearby Sandbanks Provincial park which was beautiful with his dunes, beaches & woods.
This was an ideal place for us to stay. The location also introduced us to a portion of the county we might have other wise missed, which was very nice. The host was very accommodating and responsive. We plan to come back.
Clean. Well stockedFriendly attentive hostBathroom in lower level dangerous stepsWould not return because of thisOnly chairs on deck rickety wooden ons
County life near the water can throw you some curve balls especially in January. There were some events during the stay but the team supporting the property all did their best to address the issues that arose. The place is really cute, and the views are fantastic. The bed and linens were great. I would go back. The place is showing some wear due to the craftsmanship of the renovations.
Given a little TLC this would be a delightful place to stay.
Maybe septic tanks don't take laundry fabric softener, but the bath towels were very stiff and not pleasant to use, although a good size. A set of coasters would make worry about staining the woodwork less bothersome. When the wind blows in a certain direction there is unpleasant pollution all around the dock. This was the case for 4/5 days. The TV reception and the stations offered were great, the tap water very hot, and the manager extremely good at responding. I did not notice when booking that the toilet was on a different floor to the bedrooms. Since I am mid 80's and live in an apartment this was a challenge and the only major deterrent to returning for another visit.
