Summary:
Where bliss meets the energy of the tropical rainforest and breathtaking whitewater ocean. We stayed here for a vacation and wound up falling in love with the property so much, we bought the place!
Only 400 meters from the pristine Marino Ballena National Park beach and nestled in the jungle; a short one-minute drive up from the Costanera Highway. Greeted with the sights and sounds of colorful birds, howler monkeys, and abundant wildlife. Your private sunset views overlook Isla Ballena (Whale Island), the Las Tres Hermanas (The Three Sisters), and the left portion of the famous Whales Tale. During whale migration season you will be dazzled from the pool deck as the whales and their calves pass you by. No binoculars necessary. We have had days where there have been so much wildlife circling the house that guests have cancelled everything to simply stay on property and take roles of pictures.

The Space:
This modern & elegant residence is furnished with unique pieces from both local and international artisans chosen to bring serenity, relaxation, and inspiration. The large covered outdoor living and dining spaces seamlessly flow into the gourmet kitchen and indoor living area, all with breathtaking views, to create a light, airy, and peaceful space where you can see and hear the sounds of the ocean and jungle from all vantage points. Modern conveniences include Wi-Fi and cable TV and a fully equipped gourmet kitchen. The villa is complete with a private, Bali-style yoga shala for your complete mind, body and spirit rejuvenation and a private 1/1 casita for those feeling romantic.

Guest Access:
While most of the Osa region requires a 4x4, our access road is a short distance from the main highway and very well maintained. A 2x2 is sufficient, however, for the region and explorations we recommend a 4x4. Before turning into the property you will stop at our well lit security gate that is both key and remote accessed. Plenty of parking in front of the house. We are situated mid-way between Uvita & Ojochal (approx. 5 miles to each) and 27 miles south of Dominical, with excellent swimming, beachcombing, and surfing beaches along the way. Grocery stores, gas stations and fine dining are within minutes. Beaches are everywhere and the national park entrances are minutes away.

The Neighborhood:
The villa has 2 spacious master bedroom suites with king beds, views from every vantage point and private balcony space. The master suites have en- suite bathrooms with Bali-style stone vanities and walk-in indoor/outdoor showers. The third bedroom has a jungle view with a queen size bed and en- suite bathroom. The fourth bedroom is our fully air-conditioned private one-bedroom studio with a queen bed, bathroom with walk-in shower, living, dining and kitchenette. All bedrooms are air conditioned. For families with young children, the villa may not be appropriate for children under age 5 unless watched carefully by pool.

The Bali-inspired Yoga Shala on the property is available for yoga, meditation and other mind-body-spirit practices. A private yoga instructor is available upon request.

Villa Ananda is an easy 1 minute drive from the Costanera Highway on a well-maintained road. We are situated mid-way between Uvita & Ojochal (approx. 5 miles to each) and 27 miles south of Dominical, with excellent swimming, beachcombing, and surfing beaches along the way. We recommend a 4-wheel drive SUV for getting around the area

Getting Around:
Villa Ananda is an easy 1 minute drive from the Costanera Highway on a well-maintained road. We are situated mid-way between Uvita & Ojochal (approx. 5 miles to each) and 27 miles south of Dominical, with excellent swimming, beachcombing, and surfing beaches along the way. We recommend a 4-wheel drive SUV for getting around the region. The property is surrounded by a security gate that can be opened by key pad or remote. Plenty of parking in front of the house.
