Enjoy an expansive view of the lake while perched above the waters of Lake D'Arbonne, just a stone's throw from the state park! With a large screened-in porch, multiple outdoor sitting areas, two-slip boathouse (with deck and fish-cleaning station), gas grill (propane tank), and wood-burning fireplace, this property has everything you need for an enjoyable retreat. There is a community boat ramp at the end of the road, making it the perfect destination for boaters and fishermen.
The house itself has two units (with separate entrances). The upstairs unit has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, with a large kitchen and living area. The downstairs unit has a small kitchen, bath, and a large living/sleeping area complete with a futon (full-size bed) and 3 twin beds. Both units have a television and DVD player. A backup generator services both upstairs and down, so you will never be without power! A tankless water heater ensures there is enough hot water for everyone. This spot is for people who want to get away from it all. There is no cable, but local broadcast channels are available via an antenna, as well as Roku streaming. Wifi (2G/5G) is available via HughesNet satellite internet which can sometimes be slow. A hotspot is recommended if fast internet service is crucial. Check-in time is 4 PM, and check-out time is 11 AM.
NOTE: The larger upstairs unit is only accessible via some stairs, possibly not accommodating for those with severe mobility issues.

My Family and I enjoyed our Stay and will be booking this house again. Everything was so clean and spacious. More than enough sitting space on the outside also. The owners were very helpful.

Thank you for the review. We enjoyed having you as guests.
Great property! Plenty of spaces to sit outside to enjoy the views of the lake. The house was well stocked with anything we could have needed. We were able to launch our boat close by and store in the boat house. The owner was very helpful and responsive. We will absolutely be booking this house again for our next lake weekend!

Thank you for the nice review. We work hard to keep the place as welcoming as possible for guests. Good reviews encourage us to keep the place listed. We have wanted to quit a few times.
This house was perfect for our family to relax and unwind for the weekend. We were able to rest and relax, do some fishing and reading, and enjoy the beautiful views of Lake D'Arbonne. The owners were quick and efficient with communications, and the house was equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We would definitely recommend to anyone.

Thank you so much. Sorry the power went out while you were there, but at least you had the backup generator!
Plenty of room, nice home. Family friendly. Enjoyed fishing. Cooked meals at home and had full kitchen items. Loved our stay here.

Thank you for the nice review. Regarding the issue you had with the internet service, we figured out it was an issue with our new outdoor security cameras. Apparently, we need to remember to shut them off when the yard is being mowed, the bug guy is spraying (which both happened just before your stay), etc. Otherwise, it records all that and uses up all the "fast" data. We did purchase an extra data token for you. We will try to remember to turn off the cameras in the future when workers are there. LOL Sorry about that.
Found this place on line when planning a weekend fishing trip with friends. It did not disappoint! House was lovely, comfortable and well kept. Boat dock was nice and large to hold our boats as well as a covered area to sit and enjoy the scenic lake view. Good fishing area. Really enjoyed our time here.

We were there for a weekend gathering at Lake D’Arbonne and really enjoyed our time at the house. It was perfect for what we needed and the hosts were very responsive and helpful. Everything was just as advertised. The beds were super comfortable and it was just like being at home. The view was amazing and can’t wait to go back when we can spend more time!

We greatly enjoyed staying at this home, and plan to return to it again. The owner was wonderful with ensuring we had clear directions to the house, particularly once they realized we would be arriving after dark. It was perfect!

Thank you so much! It was a pleasure to have you as guests.
The lake house has all of comforts and necessities of a well maintained modern house. Wonderful setting to simply relax and unwind. Especially enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake and bird watching. The humming bird darting around the Crepe Myrtle trees was an unexpected surprise.

Thank you so much for the nice review. Atlanta is a long drive!! Glad you enjoyed your stay. We try very hard to make the house as inviting as possible. We are constantly working to make improvements.
The house and dock were perfect for a weekend trip with friends from college. House was clean and had everything we needed. Power went out and generator kicked on a minute later. Plenty of hot water. Hosts were attentive and texted us to check in. Would definitely stay here again.

Libby was a joy to deal with. Thank you so much for mentioning the generator, I don't think there is another property that has one. We want to make sure our guest have the best time that can be had, even it it rains, and power loss wouldn't be a good thing. They left the property in great condition and we'd rent to them again in a heartbeat.
Overall we had a good time. The dock was great, and very peaceful! The property managers were very easy to work with as well. We did have internet issues each day, which was a bit of a pain. It didn’t start working until about 10:00 a.m. once it started to warm up. The property is in a rural area, so I’m sure it is difficult to get reliable service. The cleanliness of the property could have been better as well.

Hi, Keli. We figured out why you were having issues with the HughesNet service. It's related to our new outdoor security cameras. We had new ceiling fans installed at the boat house and had the yard mowed shortly before your stay. We didn't realize the cameras were recording all that! That's why you ran out of the "fast" data. We did try to purchase a data token for the remainder of your stay, but it didn't "take" for some reason. Sorry again for your issues with the internet service.
Property was amazing. Communication with property manager and owners was very good. We were updated with road closures after a storm immediately. I was able to store my boat in the boat dock and lift out of water during the storm. Fishing was also great along the channel fishing standing timber.

Thank you for the review, Jarvis. Since we are new on VRBO, reviews really help. We try hard to make our guests comfortable. Hope the softball tournament went well!
This home is beautifully furnished and is a very comfortable space to be with your family. I love the large leather sectional and the throw blankets that were layed out for us. The view from the kitchen table as well as the living room are gorgeous. There was lots of space inside and outside to spread out . The communication with the owners and the manager was prompt and friendly. We look forward to taking friends and family back there.

Why they chose this property
This home is larger than a lot of the lake houses on lake D'Arbonne. There are several decks to enjoy the view and a screened in porch to keep the bugs away, but that doesn't mean that no bugs are present...there are ALWAYS bugs in Louisiana.
This property is not wheel char accessible due to stairs. But we installed a generator so that you never have to worry about losing power (which often happens with all the trees in the area).
Parkside drive is not a paved road, however, the distance you have to travel is pretty short. We did pave the driveway for your convenience. There is a motion detector light at the corner of the house to provide lighting if you arrive after dark.
What makes this property unique
The boat house has two slips, one can fit a large boat, the other is smaller, more of a jon boat size slip. You can fish off the boat house, but the lake is fairly shallow there. There is a boat launch at the end of the road (just past the last house, which is next door), or you can use the state park ramps if you prefer, which is also super close.
