About this property

Lookout Landing! Loft Porch

Tucked away off the main road, sip your morning coffee on the covered front porch and enjoy the glorious sunrise over the Sierra Nevada mountain range. This country loft is tucked back in one of Tulare’s best neighborhoods. An older style home, this is a true dusty country home above the owner's storage garages. Very close to the International Ag Show (the Agri-Center and Heritage Complex), located on the outskirts of Tulare, Ca, near both Tulare and Visalia’s hospitals, restaurants, and nightlife, Visalia’s downtown Main Street is a local favorite! Close to Sequoia National Park, it's popular destination for day-trippers with easy access to the main road into the National Parks, washer and dryer, and soaking tub for after a long day of hiking.  Whether you're in town for work, to visit the parks, or to visit a loved one, you're sure to love The Lookout Landing!

The Space

Inside, you'll find an open-concept living space with Smart TV, reliable WiFi, comfortable furniture, and windows with views of the surrounding farmland and dairy farm. You'll enjoy a Jack-and-Jill style full bathroom with shower/bath combo that connects to the primary bedroom. The light bright kitchen is open to the living room, and features a coffee machine for your morning cup of Joe, essential for any country local!  The front porch has a seating area where you can sip your coffee or eat your meals while enjoying gorgeous views of the Sierras on clear days. If you're visiting during the rainy season, you're likely to see extraordinary vistas of snow capped mountains which turn bright pink at sunset.

Getting Around

We suggest using your own vehicle, though Uber and Lyft are available.  The neighborhood is walkable, but you'll need to drive a few short minutes if you're heading to restaurants, grocery shopping, the Outlet Mall, etc.  Sequoia National Park is 45 minutes away, and is an easy drive in good weather.  If you prefer not to drive, The Sequoia Shuttle runs up to the National Parks during the summer months, and has departure points in nearby Visalia and Three Rivers.  Check them out at sequoiashuttle.com. If you're driving up to the National Parks in the winter, you'll likely need tire chains, and may need both 4WD and tire chains in heavy snow seasons.

The Neighborhood

The home is located on the back of the homeowner's property above the storage garage. Feel free to walk the neighborhood, a gated community of just a few beautiful country houses. There are many restaurants nearby, but food delivery is an option at this location as well.

Pleasant Place, Excellent Guest Service
This place reminded me of camp houses I have stayed at for fishing or deer hunting in the past. Just a nice, older house with a comfy bed and functioning kitchen. Hot water heater had plenty of hot water for a full tub to soak our weary bones. The tub stopper was broken so we bought a silicone one and it worked fine. Heater worked great. Weather stripping on all the doors could stand to be replaced and the light by the door in the kitchen did not appear to have a switch to turn it off, so we just closed the doors in the bedroom so the light wouldn't leak in. All in all, a nice, quaint place for us to launch our national park excursions from. Communication with guest services was TOP NOTCH! Fast replies via text message.
