A lot of Grand to be had here!! :)
Check in was rough, as we were after hours & I couldn't reach the resort staff via phone. I wasn't able to find the email about the lock box, but finally did. Upon entering the condo the night of the 18th, everything was amazing, but later in the evening, we noticed an outbreak of an unidentified insect that today remains a mystery, lol. Being road-weary to the point of exhaustion (I'm a cancer/chemo survivor), I went on a rampage to eliminate the bugs, being successful enough to be able to sleep. The 19th, we headed to the grocery, only to come back to more insects, mainly in the den area window. It was almost as if they'd hatched around that window & were multiplying. I contacted Alicia at Grand Strand & she sent Thad out to spray. I was a little sleep-deprived & wasn't really keeping up with where he was spraying, bc he was also moving fast, that I forgot to mention the window, the MAIN area! After he left & we were getting more settled, I checked on the window, but they weren't dying. I saw the condo handyman out by the pool & asked if he could spray the outside of the balcony & window area. They still weren't dying. I later found a mini shop vac & that took care of them. Alicia was very understanding when we went by GS to show pictures/video & obliged us a late check out on the 22nd, since we lost most of Monday dealing with them. After that, it was total BLISS! We loved the almost seclusion in front of the building! Parking, beds, showers & balcony was the best!!
