5 Days In Flamingo Beach
Let's start with the upside. The condo certainly has a lot of potential considering the great location and the amazing views from the terrace. Overall the condo was adequately furnished and clean on arrival. The buildings and the common & pool area of the development seemed to be well taken care of.
On the downside the condo had a number of deficiencies (e g. broken bath room window, broken shelf in the fridge, not working lights, low quality chairs on the terrace, etc.) that I would not expect to find in this price category. No folder with important and relevant information specific to the particular condo and the local area was available in the condo.
Unfortunately the overall disastrous experience with and impression of VACASA's administration and management of this condo greatly impacted our overall experience of this rental.
- The pre check-in information in the several e-mails and in the app was full of mistakes.
* The directions given were for a different condo in another tower of the same development.
* In different sections of the e-mails contact details (name and phone numbers) were given for two different local VACASA representatives. The first of those individuals, when contacted, informed me that there must be some mistake because he doesn't work for VACASA. The second individual simply never responded to either phone calls or messages.
* After contacting VACASA main office the day before arrival I received contact details for another individual that finally provided information for access to the condo.
* When trying to access the condo upon arrival in line with these instructions it turned out that the information provided was incomplete.
- Upon our arrival on Monday we noticed straight away that the internet and cable TV had obviously been disconnected by the service provider.
* After immediately informing the local VACASA representative I was told that the problem would be fixed by maintenance the following day, Tuesday, in the afternoon.
* The short version of the exhausting and long story about this issue is that after many calls/messages with the local VACASA representative as well as repeated promises that the problem would be fixed „tomorrow“, the internet service was finally operational on the last evening of our 5 day stay, while the cable TV service was still not working on the day of our check-out.
5 days after checking out, I still have not heard from VACASA about the promised discount/refund.
