This place is small but comfortable. Great for up to 4 adults and is 5 mins drive from Whistler Village. We've stayed here twice now and been really happy.
We enjoyed sharing your home for our Christmas vacation. Cozy, for the 4 of us and had everything. needed needed.

We booked our vacation here and we wasn't disappointed at all. The place is super cute, you feel like you are in a private cabin. The best experience we had in a while.

Thank -You Viara, It's a very special place and great location!!!
Great place for my daughter and I to enjoy Whistler. Ski in/out trail was great. Short walk uphill in the morning to the trail, but well worth it to avoid driving. Front door to Creekside Gondola in 15-20 mins. And the Ski trail back was practically to the front door. Would definitely stay here again.
Our family of four had a great 3 night ski weekend and this place kept us comfortable as expected for a smaller place. Nice deck. Everything worked. Took us 3 times to find the ski-in path but wish we had more days on the slopes knowing how easy it actually is to get back once you know which way to go.....Initial little hikes back to condo. Perfectly located in a beautiful spot!
We were here for 3 nights and wish we had longer.
It was a wonderful place to base ourselves while we enjoyed the wonderful Whistler area.
Although the unit was a little more dated than we realized from the images, it didn't detract at all from our enjoyment. It was VERY comfortable, well appointed and had everything we needed to really enjoy our stay.
Great value for money - would definitely recommend it!

Seclusion and convenience all in one
We loved our stay at this very cozy condo. The decor was beautiful and the wood-burning fireplace was great. The beds were comfortable and the view of the pine trees out the living room was so nice. The hot tub was so relaxing at the end of the day - it was very clean and just the right temperature. The ski-in was great - the ski out had a bit of a walk, but not bad at all. We look forward to coming here again!

Thank You Tania & Family! This home has the best of both worlds, private and quiet yet close to everything.
Our host was a great communicator and responded to questions very timely. Property has a well equiped kitchen, linens, and accessories. Great wireles, hot tub is awesome and private, and the wooded surroundings are perfect. We did not find, or really look for the ski-out trail, but drive to creekside or whistler village was quite simple. It is nice to have a private garage, which is a bit small and if you have guests with an additional car parking can be tricky. All in all, we had a great stay and would reccomend this property.
This was a great place. Its amazing how much was in a relatively small footprint place. All the amenities you could want. Best part was visually beautiful setting and great hot tub- not very busy- that is super close to the condo (just across the driveway.) Quiet and private. There its a kinda hard to find ski-in trail but its very useful and convenient once you do. I would suggest the owner provide a map of the ski-in/ski-out trails and trailhead locations. Note that it is a 5-10 min walk much of it up hill to the "ski-out" trail down to the lifts.
This was perfect for our family- very cozy, to return to after a day at the Whistler Village and skiing. You can ski in, but we ended up doing lessons at Whistler Village w/Whistler Kids programs which was a short drive away. The condo was super clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. Up the road just past the condo off the road (if you pass the turn and drive up the hill) there’s a run to drop in that goes to Creekside Gondola. Explore in your car first and then consider walking to that drop in. With varying ski abilities we opted to do group lessons elsewhere but for skiers with more experience that would be pretty fun!! Enjoyed our stay here and would happily return. Our small pooch stayed with us too.

Stairs, lots of stairs
We were not advised of the 2 flights of stairs, so that was a bit of a hassle considering the food and gear one brings up and down. There were items during our stay that weren't working, like the bathtub not filling up, the garage door, the bbq (or lack thereof) and the pool (closed most of the year), but I suspect those items will be repaired at some point. The location was ok, up from and close to Rim Rock Cafe which is nice. Also less traffic in general getting out of Whistler in general being in the Creekside area.
The location was good and there was a parking space. The owner responded immediately to any questions . There were a few items that needed some TLC,....which I pointed out to the owner. The mattress should be replaced also., It seemed too soft and worn out. The decor of the place was very French -think crystal chandeliers in each room .. which seemed a little fussy for a rental in a ski location. However I would certainly rent here again because the owner was responsive and flexible, easy to communicate with.
This property was perfect for being away from the crowds. After an extremely busy and draining few months it was amazing to hide away at the top of creekside. The garage was a huge bonus for getting straight into the car on the early mornings to drive my son to ski camp. It would have been ideal if he could have bused or skied in and back to the condo instead. I really enjoyed the quiet of the place. However, there is no way to see the sky or any view, so I was in the dark as to what the day looked like. We were extremely freezing in the condo, it never seemed to warm up. It was a nice getaway, and I would definitely book again. I would just want people to know that you are driving everywhere you go.
We really enjoyed our week in this cozy, quiet condo in Taluswood located at the top of the Nordic Estates Neighborhood. We usually stay in Creekside due to the proximity to shops and restaurants but thought we’d try a stay in Nordic Estates for a change of scenery and we’re glad we did. We found the space to be a nice size for our family of 4 (kids 12/14) and dog. We spent a lot of time on the back patio which was quite treed, very quiet and private. The bedrooms and livingroom while small were fine for the amount of time we actually spent in the unit. We didn’t cook but the kitchen seemed well stocked and had all the appliances we needed (toaster, coffee maker etc). The pool and hot tub were a bonus as was the garage for bike storage. We found the property to be very quiet at night and private (not a ton of drive by traffic). We found a great path that got us from Nordic Estates into Creekside in less than 10 mins (spits you out at the Creekside gondola…also a great dog hike) otherwise it’s a bit of a trek up the hill to the condo from the main road.
Overall, great place to stay which we’d probably book again on a future family trip to beautiful Whistler, thanks Laurie!

Not like listing - worn out & issues.
The place was not cleaned from the previous renters, it was filthy and dog hair everywhere. Contacted the host who initially thought the cleaners had neglected to finish the clean, then we come to find out we’re sleeping on bedding used by the previous renters. Nothing had been cleaned since their departure! “Maid” service was blamed which we understand can happen but the issue was not corrected until late the next afternoon. For this disgusting experience we were refunded our cleaning fee (which was probably free to the owner due to the error) and only 50% of one night. We are still really grossed out and our belongings/car are still FULL of dog hair. The listing mentions a bbq which is not there and the heated pool was drained for the season. There was no mention in the listing of the multiple flights of stairs to access the unit. Kitchen is super basic with a toaster that had no handles and was unusable, plates & cups that are stained and chipped, lids missing for corningware etc. Bed linens are old and stained. Guard rail on top bunk is bending out and unstable. Fire alarm is hanging from a wire in the ceiling. Host was polite to us but not helpful in rectifying situation quickly or satisfactorily. We’ve stayed in many, many rentals and never come across such a poor choice. Very disappointing weekend for us.

Unfortunately the maids missed my place but they came by the next day as requested by guests. Guests were very understanding and very nice and. I thought things were smooth over after I refunded 1/2 of booking. It definitely won't happen again as I follow up maids after every check out, moving forward. It's stated on my listing that pool is only open during the summer.

Not Enchanted
Ski in/out: Absolutely NOT! “Ski-out” access at least 1/4 mile hike uphill, ski-in very difficult to access and requires you to remove your skis and cross a road.Check-in/out instructions: Inadequate. Check-in fails to mention the unit is not clearly marked from the ground level and is actually located downstairs. Check-out says to dispose of garbage/recycling, but doesn’t tell you where/how (btw: separate bldg outside, need a key).Unit: Needs lots of upgrades/repairs. Eg: smoke detector hanging from ceiling, 1 of 2 coffee mugs was broken, lamp in master doesn’t work, broken shower fixture, broken toaster, leaky washing machine, refrigerator makes constant loud humming and chirping noise, no fixture over exposed light bulb directly above top bunk, holes in the bedding, etc. Overall, quaint but run down. Pool/Hot tub: Pool is closed/empty during winter. Hot tub is small and poorly maintained.Garage: For us, unusable. We have an SUV and the snow was plowed in such a way that we could not safely pull in/out. We had to park in visitor parking which was tricky since there were only a couple spots and other people using them too. Listing description says “in a village” and a “car is not required for transportation to and from”. Not true. You 100% need a car to and are nowhere near a village.Host was quick to reply, great but doesn’t make up for shortcomings and blatant false advertising. Got the job done, but for the price and location, you’re better off elsewhere.
The unit was great for our family of four plus 2 dogs. The unit was well stocked and comfortable for all. The location was great and it was nice and quiet.
We went fir an end of summer break with the dogs. Lori was very accommodating and hospitable. We would definitely come back again!

Why they chose this property
I choose to buy this home because it is so unique. It's so private & quiet. I love the grand wood burning fireplace and the log post and beams. There's only 6 units in the building and the village is only 5-7 minute drive. You get the best of both worlds. Taluswood's is a very special place.
