Bring the whole family to this amazingly restored Florida lake home with lots of room for fun. Swim in the lake, catch some fish, build a sandcastle, make s'mores, nap in the sunroom, play fetch with your dog in the fenced yard, and so much more. Only an hour away from the beaches and the many springs of North Florida. The 1940's "Camp Blanding" house has had a complete makeover giving it the feel of an "Old Florida" lake house with all the comforts of modern living.

We had an amazing stay! The place was exactly as described clean, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches. Aimee was incredibly responsive and made check-in super easy. We felt right at home and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

A great escape!

My wife and I stayed as a “workcation” when I had some business nearby. Great location, cozy house, and the owners were very responsive. We would definitely stay here again when we’re in town!

Comfortable lake house

We enjoyed our stay on Lake Geneva. The house is comfortable and livable. It was nice the master bedroom was isolated from other rooms.

Fast get away

Stayed to do some photography and wasn't disappointed. Didn't get to stay around much due to running my daddy back and forth to appts. Enjoyed the time we had for sure.

Amazing secret spot for a relaxing stay

We were there with my son and a friend for a motorcycle event (the Polar Bear Rally Raid) and spent most of the time riding our bikes, so little time to enjoy this beauty. But will definitely come back with family to relax and enjoy. The house was fully equipped and clean. Lots of spaces to hang around. Very comfortable and practical.

Still waiting for my $3000 deposit to be returned

I have no complaints about the property. But I think the process for the unreasonably high deposit will make me think twice about using VRBO again. We put down the deposit almost a month ago. We checked out over two weeks ago and VRBO is still holding on to our deposit.

Dream vacation spot

Location and the view. These are what the people I see on HGTV on cable television look for in choosing vacation homes to buy. Well, I can't afford to buy a vacation home. However, I can still rent one. This place has both. The house is near many of the state parks and recreational areas and best of all, this property is it's own recreational place. It ends on the shore of a small lake. The shore line is clean and free of water weeds so you can launch the canoes and other watercrafts that is supplied by the host. If you want to fish, the host also include the fishing poles. She even give you the places that you can buy bait. If you want to swim, she supplied floating devices.I sense that the host worked very hard to welcome us. When we entered the house, a carton of eggs were placed on the table for our enjoyment as will as some snacks. This is wonderful. My family and I really appreciated it. I strongly recommend this place. Sincerely, John

We are a husband and wife team that have been in the long term rental business for almost 30 years. Our specialty is finding the properties that no one else wants ("extreme fixer uppers"), seeing the potential behind the disaster, and turning them back into a home. We love our jobs and are very hands on, doing most of the work ourselves.
After finishing the remodel of this spectacular lake house, we decided the property was too special not share with others, which is why we are opening it up to the short term rental market.
The house was originally a "Camp Blanding" structure brought over to this site in 1949 to be a family vacation lake house and had an addition built on to it in the 70's. It had been owned by the same family, passed down through the generations, until we purchased it in 2021. Although it has had a complete remodel, we tried to save as many of the original features as possible (original hard wood floors, door knobs, to name a few). This house will most definitely give you an old Florida feel while still experiencing all the comforts of modern living.

The video was created when we first listed the property, so it will give you a sense of the layout of the home, but it is missing some of the new amenities that we have added. I do update the images, so the pictures in the listing are accurate to date.

This lake house is the perfect family vacation spot. Our nephew (age 10) summed it up nicely... "Why do we need to go anywhere...all the fun is right here at the house."

You have private access to a piece of Lake Geneva, fishing poles are provided, lake toys and floats are there as well for beach and swimming time. There is fire pit for s'more making, a bench swing for relaxing, canoe for exploring the lake, sunroom for pleasant conversations or much needed naps, plenty of board games for the rainy days, a Wii, and Netflix for movie watching. There is a huge, fully-outfitted kitchen (we've tried to think of everything) for making that famous family favorite, or a grill on the back porch located right off the kitchen for easier meal preparation and a table for outside dining. Also, there is plenty of bird life for those avian enthusiasts!

The Large Kitchen! Create your family favorites with this fully stocked kitchen (I have tried to think of everything you might need)

The Firepit! We stock it with firewood for you to enjoy a relaxing fire for s'more making, story telling, or just some quiet reflect time.

The Sunroom! A favorite spot of past guests for napping, board games, family meals, or conversations.
