Outdoor amenities include a private chiminea and shared bbq/grill, fire pit and patio/deck areas. Other tiny houses are on the property.

This tiny house has everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the Smoky Mountains. Free WiFi is available inside of the tiny house and elsewhere on Mountain Shire. There are other tiny houses on the property. We are pet friendly (only $79 fee)!

The living room includes:

✦ Large sofa-bed
✦ Small table with two chairs
✦ 32`` Roku smart TV
✦ Wall-mounted air conditioning/heater with remote

The kitchenette includes:

✦ Electric stove top
✦ Microwave
✦ Galanz refrigerator with freezer
✦ Keurig coffee maker (including coffee pods)
✦ Hot-water kettle (including tea bags)
✦ Plates, bowls, utensils, condiments and other essentials

The bathroom economizes space and might be a tight squeeze for some (remember it was designed by Hobbits!). It includes:

✦ Toilette
✦ Hot-cold water shower (the hot water tank has capacity for ~10 minute shower. It then needs to refill and reheat)
✦ Small mirror, towels, body wash, shampoo, and toilette paper
*There is no sink in the bathroom

The main sleeping area is located up a short flight of stairs in the loft. There is about 2.5-3 feet of overhead room. Individuals with mobility issues might be uncomfortable. Otherwise, its a cozy space filled by:

✦ Queen-sized bed, including linens, pillows, and blankets
✦ The loft is well lit and has standard plugs

Guests will park on the lower level of the property, in front of the large Hobbit wall. There are marked spaces for cars but no assigned parking. To get to the house, walk through the Hobbit wall entrance. The house will be about 75 feet in front of you. It is the third one on your left. It has a #2 mounted near the door.

There is a lock box mounted next to the door. Enter the code provided in the email and retrieve the key.

We respect our guests’ privacy and give you space to enjoy your stay. We are often nearby and available if you need assistance or have questions, and we’re always happy to interact if approached. Otherwise, you’ll enjoy a peaceful, uninterrupted stay.

Our tiny house is located on the Mountain Shire property with views into the woods and surrounding valley area. There are eight tiny houses (inspired by the Hobbit) in total on the property as well as three smallish houses (inspired by Harry Potter).

Mountain Shire is adjacent to Bigfoot Philly Cheesestakes and a short distance from Wears Valley Zip Line Adventures.

Mountain Shire is perfectly located for guests to enjoy easy access to shops and top attractions:

✦ 3.5 miles - Publix, Kroger, Smoky Mountain Brewery, No Way Jose`s Cantina

✦ 5 miles - Smoky Mountain National Park (Wears Valley Access Road)
✦ 6 miles - Tanger Outlets
✦ 8 miles - Dollywood
✦ 14 miles - Gatlinburg

We love pets but please no dogs over 75 pounds. Large dogs will be uncomfortable and anxious in the tiny house. If you leave your pet alone inside, make sure they are crated. The pet fee is $79. If a guest does not report their pet at the time of booking, the fee will be added before check out.

Furry friends, large and small, live in the surrounding landscape. Please don`t leave food or trash in outdoor areas. We don`t want any unexpected visitors wandering into the site to eat your leftovers :-)

Great stay!

Loved the whole feel of this tiny home and the whole process of reserving and checking in was super easy. Justin was great with communication leading up to and during our stay.

Coolest VRBO ever!

Our stay was amazing. Wish we had more time there. So much thought and creativity has been put into these Hobbit Houses. Such efficient use of space too.

Quick getaway

We really enjoyed the woodlands / hobbit theme. The attention to detail was fantastic. The only snag we had was the road getting washed out which had us stuck for the morning. But having the store within walking distance was nice and we made the best of it with yummy Philly steak sandwiches. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family! Thanks, Shannon Johns

Unique experience, Perfect size for 2 (just not very private), ideal proximity to Pigeon Forge

Size/layout as expected; exterior neat/tidy, interior spotless! Instructions for location detailed but still confusing to maneuver if arriving after drk (pass it up & you'll end at a gate at the top of the ā›°ļø & have to back down the 1 lane rd in the dark. šŸ˜…) Thought the houses were separated/scattered alng mntn side, not tucked into a small village. Tad disappointed w/ closeness of neighbors. Only real issue was lack of blinds for privacy. Small cvrngs on 2 lvrm wndws but they didn't cover the edges well so when it's dark, you still see inside. Tested it, we know. šŸ˜… (saw in neighbors šŸ  even on the lot below us) Lrge wndw abve couch looks tinted, it's see-through frm outside. No blinds on wndw abve bar or around bed. Utilize bthrm for any/all privacy 😬 Couch & bed SUPER comfy! Bedding & throw blanket- great quality! Fan on nightstand- greatly appreciated! TP more than 1/2 used upon arrvl. Only a 3/4 used roll in cabinet for backup. Bring TP if styng >1 night. Paper towels, too. Roll almost empty. We had takeout npkns to use while eating so p.t. could be used for drying hands bc don't recall a hand towel being provided. Might have been a bath towel or wash rag in bthrm (which is in kitchen anyway šŸ˜‰) if so, we could have used that. Prox. to town is PERFECT; away frm noise, short drive to dinner out! Overall, very neat experience, lovely house, glad we stayed! Just isn't very conducive for intimate couples getaway šŸ’‹ (which owners are probably appreciative of anyway. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‰).
