Property was great! I was able to get in touch with the property manager timely very friendly. Nice little get away very peaceful. They also provided mosquito spray that was a plus!!!
If you're looking for a relaxing get away this is your cabin! Out in the woods, pet friendly with space to run, full kitchen, fire pit, nice selection of family friendly dvd's for rainy days, and hiking in a state park near by. We will be returning for sure and telling friends to check it out.
Quiet, somewhat secluded spot in the country that offers a pleasant stay for any sized group. Beautiful outdoor sitting and exceptionally clean open interior space not far from Lucas Oil Speedway and plenty of lake options for camping, swimming and fishing.
PET FRIENDLY! Great secluded location. Short drive to either side of Pom de Terre state park. Also enjoyed the private cove. Cabin was clean, air conditioners work well, propane grill available, also had a very nice fire pit.
No surprises! Listing was accurate. We really enjoyed the private cove. The kids and dogs were entertained at the cove for hours. The enclosed porch made traveling with pets an ease. The fire pit set up was perfect for staying warm and stargazing! Thanks for a simple relaxing get away!
My fiancé and I wanted a quick trip away from the city where we would be able to take our dogs and this place was perfect! The area is quiet and private and there is a lot of space surrounding the cabin to walk and enjoy nature. The cabin itself is super cute and has everything you need! The host was super responsive if we had a question and checking in and out was easy. We enjoyed unplugging for a few days and would definitely recommend this place to others.
I dont have one complaint. Very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the fire pit and all the quietness. Beds are comfortable. The kids enjoyed themselves. That stay was a win that’s for sure!
We live close to stl so a nice country getaway was just what we needed. There was no service but it was actually a delight because it made everyone feel closer and take in the nature even more. Thank you guys for an unforgettable experience and we hope to be back in the near future!
Spacious cabin, with a very nice porch very nice and secluded property great stargazing The bathtub was a little slippery other than that we enjoyed absolutely everything about it and were able to spend some time at Lake Pomme de Terre which is a fast six minutes away.
Plenty of privacy beautiful cabin with all the amenities including an actual wood burning stove short distance from anything you might need stores gas stations Etc.Nic was an awesome host answered any questions promptly and thoroughly and respectful of privacy while we were there.THANK YOU NIC

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication
No hot water
Water heater down 2 days we were there , hiking trails all day no shower , no fun . Left 1 day early .
Great location and very quiet getaway. We were the first guests to stay. Some cleanliness issues when we first arrived, but alerted the property owners right away. They were great and I offered some ideas they could do to help the next guests. I would get them another try.
the cabin is just like you see in the pictures with a great fire pit the cove is within a half mile from cabin not much luck fishing but it is early May.. but the little pond at the cabin has some nice size bass and blue gills bigger then my hand... and the big surprise they dont tell you is off the deck toward the back is a fenced in area for dogs to have some running space without being leased... we will be definitely be going back again...also if you forget anything Alps is only a couple a miles away with grocery store also a hardware store all in one..
We stayed 3 days and 2 nights. We planned to be there during cool nights. End of october. It was basically what we were looking for. Something only a couple hours from home that had a fire pit for the cool nights. Full kitchen, laundry, shower,
etc. Close to the lake for fishing. (Didn't catch anything with worms.) We hiked through the woods. Kids had a good time. Us parents had a good time. Quiet, secluded (for the most part), good scenery. even a fenced back yard and front porchfor dogs if you have one. There was wood there for the wood stove and the fire pit but we brought our own since we brought teenage boys...(we wanted a fire for hours each day...) great stay for the price. Would definitely go back again.
