We stayed a month with our cat. The house was bigger than we needed. Our cat loved the enclosed back yard, and inside running up and down the stairs to office and extra bedroom (we don't have stairs at home). The air conditioning held up well to the high summer temps we experienced when we first arrived. The wifi was perfect everywhere. The kitchen had every appliance we could need and more. Location was quiet neighborhood and easy walk, bike or car to restaurants, walmart, wine and olive oil tastings, and Cayukos beaches were only about 25 miles away. The Hostess took care of our every need.
A Stone’s Throw Bungalow was perfect for our needs: a place for five weeks while we accomplished temporary local work. We were very happy.

About the host
Your host
My name is Patrikya, and I'm a college English instructor. I bought this home in order to move closer to my elderly parents (who just celebrated 70 years of marriage!). After the first year, I demolished a useless old "garage" and built "The Wee Hoose"--a special little dwelling. I love meeting new people and sharing my restored and classed-up 1905 Classic Paso Roble home with others! I'm also intensely private, so I make an ideal neighbor.
Why they chose this property
Unique historic but updated home with character--one that reflects both a simpler time and a long history of adventurous occupants! Sit on the huge front porch and watch the world at a pace YOU decide on! Walk into downtown and enjoy a glass of Paso's world-class wine while you dine at some of our most talked-about restaurants. Everything is within a stone's throw of this quaint property on the Vine Street corridor.
What makes this property unique
Quaint cheerful home located on a FLAT lot---this means it's a totally walkable or bike-able few minutes to all of downtown's magic. Charming established and safe westside neighborhood. Stay warm and dry in Stone's Throw Bungalow!
