Very disappointing place in Paradise
Rating Details:
The property manager was somewhat unhelpful.
The vacation rental was very dirty.
I was more than happy with the location.
I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

We have stayed at the Kapalua Villas, through Outrigger, 11 different times in the past few years. Condo rental 12g5 was extremely dissappointing. This was the first time we used VRBO to book a vacation place. Having stayed at Kapalua Villas, and having seen many of the Condos at the Villas, we felt confident that we would have a good Condo from VRBO, how very wrong we were. First the front door wouldn't lock all the way. Many of the window blinds wouldn't open correctly, and some of the handles were held in place with old piece of rusty wire, had to manually turn each piece of slat to see outside. The walls where dirty in every room, especially gross when I had to clean feces from the floor, the bottom of the toilet stand, and the walls in the upstairs bathroom. The dishwasher leaked water from the bottom of it. The kitchen cabinets smelled musty. The paint, and thin paneling on the cheap kitchen cabinets was peeling off. Let's talk about ants, now I know we are on a island, I've seen the Kapalua maintaince staff spraying outside the Condo, and have never had any experiences with ants at any other Condo stays, but the first night we woke to fine ants in the living room, on the tables, and on the couch. The next day we woke to ants on the second floor bathroom everywhere, even in the shower, literally climbing out of the drain, yuck! The wood around the shower, and windows by the shower upstairs was rotting and crumbling. I think that the Condo is in great needs of renovations, if you are renting a Condo, you should put some money into the place, to keep it updated. Kapalua is a beautiful place, and I would recommend Kapalua, Maui, great golf, beautiful ocean, and mountain views, Kapalua Ziplines is fantastic, the grounds at Kapalua are well maintained, and pools are great. I will stay at Kapalua Villas again, just not sure about VRBO properties, do you ever really view your Condo's?
