Located in a gated beach community on Holiday Isle, Island Blue is a four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom home that can accommodate up to eleven guests. The master suite and guest suite have a king bed with private bathrooms and access to one of the four expansive porches. In the third bedroom is a queen bed; in the bunk room, you will find a twin over twin bunk bed and a twin over queen bunk bed.
Take a step inside and the spacious living room will offer a comfortable spot to unwind after a day of adventure and fun. The living area will transition into the generous kitchen with granite countertops, a considerable amount of cabinet space, and stainless steel appliances; you will surely have everything you need and more!

It’s was a great place but the upstairs bunk room door didn’t stay shut and I contacted the owner with no response! And we did see a few roaches in the kitchen and living room!

We booked this property for my daughter’s bachelorette weekend and were really looking forward to a fun, relaxing stay. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the expectations set by the listing.Upon arrival, the cleanliness was a major concern. The pool was dirty, there were cigarettes and matches left around the pool area, and several items inside the home were not properly cleaned. The coffee pot and dishes had visible mold, which was very concerning. The dishwasher was not working, and there was also a leak under one of the bathroom sinks.Additionally, there was broken furniture, which made parts of the home unusable and raised safety concerns.We did report these issues and provided photos. The host did offer a partial credit, which we appreciate, but it did not fully reflect the condition of the property or the impact on our stay—especially given this was a special occasion.I would recommend future guests confirm the current condition of the property before booking. This home has potential, but it needs significant attention to cleanliness and maintenance to meet expectations.

We also scheduled an appliance vendor for the dishwasher, though unfortunately they were unable to arrive before your departure.
We take cleanliness very seriously, and what you described is not the standard we aim to provide. Once we became fully aware of the concerns, we addressed them internally with our housekeeping team to ensure this is not repeated moving forward.
We also worked directly with you to resolve the situation and provided the compensation requested, as you had expressed a preference to handle things amicably. While we always hope for that resolution to reflect the full experience, we do understand and respect your decision to share your feedback publicly.

Over-all a great stay. Unfortunately the pool was not heated, as requested at a cost of $300, but enjoyed Island Blue. Tram service (although advertised as running) was not available. Messages left on their number were never returned. We stay at Destin Pointe frequently and this was the first year we were unable to find the tram.

Overall the experience was very nice. The access to the beach was easy and convenient. The home overall was very nice, but could use some attention in areas. The stovetop is missing the markings to show the temperatures.(I marked it with a marker) The oven won't heat past 250 degrees. The home could use some updated pots and pans as well. The ones there are in very worn out shape. I am a custom home builder so I'm very familiar with the type of exterior doors. For safety reasons some of the doors are very hard to or won't latch and need to be adjusted so they lock easier. The lighting in the upper master is very dimly lit and one of the bulbs is out. suggest changing the bulbs to LED with a higher lumins. The outdoor grills propane bottle was empty so we attempted to use it unsuccessfully. The provided pull cart that's used to haul items to the beach has two broken rear wheels and needs to be thrown away and replaced. Please understand that this is not intended to be a complaint. We were very satisfied with the stay. The place could use a little attention and maintenance for a convenient stay.

The is the second that we have rented Island Blue for a family vacation. Both times it has worked out wonderfully for us. Nice rooms and bathrooms and the small pool in the backyard is a big hit for the kids on days when it’s not nice enough out to go to beach or the community pools.
