Daisy Cottage

Location of the property is close to Yosemite which is why we chose it. About 1 hour drive to Yosemite Valley (30 minutes to park entrance). The cottage was clean and comfortable. Internet, washer,and dryer. Beds were great. Found it very quiet We didn't cook there but could have. Cottage is a little over a mile to Oakhurst. Lots of restaurants, a Vons (grocery) store, gas stations,etc..

Cozy stay

We stayed 3 nights in February. The cottage was very comfortable and cozy for the two of us and our dog. It was super clean, comfortable beds, and a nice big bathtub. The kitchen has just enough to cook simple things. It is a great place to stay in Oakhurst to use as a home base for Yosemite and Bass Lake.

Peace and BBQ

We took our mother here for a Mother’s Day get away and had a lovely dinner. I would definitely come back. The property is beautiful and we loved the bbq on the deck.

Cute!

Very cute cozy house, appreciated all the touches and very clean! Perfect for our Yosemite vacation. The non paved road and neighbors aren’t ideal, but nothing to do with house or owners, felt safe and fine there and had a gate.

So comfortable and relaxing

Everything was great at the house.it is very well appointed and it was very relaxing to stay there. We were at a 3 day wedding most of the time. Just came back to sleep and chill. It all worked out very well. Thanks for the nice stay.

A cozy & artistic stay

Our family's stay at the daisy cottage was splendid. The interiors were nicely designed and artistically beautiful. The beds were comfortable, and they had all required amenities for the stay. The bathroom was well equipped with toiletries, towels, toothbrushes, etc. The place was clean, had good board game collections for family and a small office desk. Kids had fun playing outside which is a pretty huge lot with hammocks, chairs and a surprise small stream of water :) Overall, we were more than satisfied with our stay and would return back.

Unique and comfortable

The Daisy Cottage was a fantastic home base for my family’s Yosemite vacation. The inside is so well done with a unique theme that is very comfortable and inviting. Beds and seating areas were all comfortable. It was around 100 degrees when we visited and the cabin cools down quickly even for leaving the air off all day, I’d imagine the same for heating. Hosts were extremely friendly and communicative. The road to the cabin is very uneven, as they mention, but manageable if you go slow. We will definitely try to book another stay at the Daisy Cottage!

Summer vacation 2024

The Daisy cottage was my first vacation and I have to say I was very impressed. Check-in and communication was smooth and easy karol and Eric made themselves available at all times. The home was exactly as described. It’s beautiful It’s peaceful and it’s welcoming. I’ve always had a hard time staying in hotels and to be on an extended stay in this cottage made it so comfortable like if I was at home. Having access to Bass Lake, Yosemite Park and Yosemite trails was so fun so easy and convenient not to mention there are many other things within close range. I definitely will be returning to this cottage. My family and I had a blast I was so glad this was an enjoyable peaceful vacation can’t wait to check it out in the winter. 😊

Quiet and comfortable destination

Thank you, Erik, and Karol, for making your delightful cabin available for us to stay while in Oakhurst. The beds were great, and though it was a warm week we were able to make the temps cool and comfortable. The kitchen and grill had enough capability that we could make our own dinner - perfectly grilled steaks, potatoes, and salad - after a couple of chilled Old Fashioned cocktails by the fire pit (too hot for a fire but the area is comfortable and relaxing). WiFi worked great, even used the TV for a bit to catch up on the 2024 Olympics. Best of all, perhaps, was the peace and quiet of the cabin's location near the end of the drive - made a sound sleep possible and enjoyable. It was a welcome destination after a long day of motorcycle riding, and we thank you. We enjoy these rides on Hwy 49 and will make your cabin a stop again someday. Be well, and thanks again.

Perfect size and distance from Yosemite Park

This small home was perfect for my husband, me, and our baby girl (9 months)! We love that the two rooms were side by side so if my baby was up I could hear her and also have a space to put her so us parents could watch tv! The place was kept clean that i was comfortable letting her crawl around. I felt the place was a great size for a family of three! The distance to the park was great too! It was about 30mins to the South Gate. The area of the place was a bit sketchy looking with old cars and some RV close to the property but we never had any issues and got over that real quick! We loved the hammock and out door deck for our morning coffee and spent some time enjoying the deer that wandered threw the back yard! All in all this was a sweet place to stay!

Adorable & Cozy!

This little place is so cute. I loved the modern decoration of the home. I really loved that the outside lights are on a timer, so when we pulled up at 9pm looking for the place, it was well lite, easy to find, and made for easy unpacking the car without having to find the lights first. The outside patio and yard is amazing! I am sad we didn't have time to really enjoy it. The only down with this house is there is no shower, only a tub. We had long days going non stop in Yosemite and wanting to take a quick shower isn't the same in a tub and trying to not flood the bathroom. The house was so clean and stocked with all the coffee options and necessities in the kitchen. I did love the details/specifics in the welcome message with how to find the place and everything you need to know. It is over an hour from this house to Yosemite Village. I wish I had mapped that better before hand to plan. We loved the house, the beds were comfy, the extra heaters in the rooms were fantastic, and the outdoor area is a dream. We would def stay here again!

"Daisy RETREAT House"

First and foremost the property owners were prompt in responding, courteous, and a genuine heart to share their property with people to enjoy. Getting access on the day of arrival was simple with zero complications. I can't express how perfect the cabin was. You can tell the owner's picked each piece of furniture to insure that people would experience a "Rustic" yet modern feel. All the modern amenities were available but you still got a "glamping" experience with the open space of the grounds and the cabin being just the right size. Everything was stocked and ready for us to use. We had the experience of being in the woods without having to actually go deep into the woods. Location of the property is close to the downtown area of Oakhurst. We stayed a week as we attended a wedding near by and we made our way into Yosemite for a day as well. But most importantly got to chill in a hammock on the property under the shaded trees and simply rest for a good portion of our stay. If you want a retreat but still want modern creature comforts you'll want to stay here. We plan on making this one of our go to properties for our yearly get away. Thank you Erik & Karol!

Cozy Comfy Cottage

The cottage is a nice place to stay with a small family. It is conveniently located close to grocery stores and restaurant. Its location simplified our vacation since we did not have to pack any food. This made our trip less stressful. The cottage had cute and simple decorations that created a nice home environment. It had all the utensils, pots and pans for cooking. The coffee pot broke during our stay and I notified Karol immediately. She was very kind and responsive and replaced it very quickly. Karol was always available and answered all of my questions. She was a fantastic host. It was nice also to be within a short driving distance to Bass Lake, Lewis Trail Creek and Angle Falls. There was a lot to do nearby plus the cottage was also in proximity to Yosemite. The place was perfect for our Summer vacation. My 7 year old daughter and 16 year old son loved staying at the cottage and exploring the area especially seeing a deer and her two fawns roaming around the property. The property although close to shopping center still was remote enough to enjoy your privacy. If you are looking for a stress free and cute cottage to relax and enjoy the outdoors with nearby conveniences, this cottage is a nice option. Thank you Karol and Erick for hosting us! You have a wonderful place!

Daisy Cabin

This was a nice cozy cabin with a nice updated kitchen. It was quiet with out in the country peacefulness. It is small but perfect for two people. The automated outside lighting was appreciated when we returned after dark. The cabin was supplied well. The major negative was the electrical service. We were warned with cabin instructions not to turn on certain units at the same time. This does not seem acceptable for a commercial rental and I was not comfortable with it. The other problem was the registration and communication with VRBO. My daughter has an account also. Our registration went to her name and email even though we stated my name, email and phone in the registration. My daughter contacted VRBO with our information. It did not correct the problem. Also the communication with VRBO was terrible. I was concerned that after weeks of the registration I did not know the address of our stay. Also I tried to contact both VRBO and the host to get an address and the host's phone number but no success. Finally, two days before our arrival date, our daughter forwarded an email with needed information. Its fortunate she forwarded the email that we should have received directly, or we would have lost our payment to VRBO for a rental with no idea how to get there. This all added a bitter taste for a get away for my wife's birthday.
