This is the second time I have stayed at this house, and it was even better the second time. It is a beautiful house and the owner is so nice and responsive. Clean as a whistle and well stocked.
The house and location was AMAZING ! The host reached out to me to make sure all was going well! Great place for an adult vacation, as well as kids! I enjoyed every minute with my four young grandchildren! Thank you all!

Our family loves the place too! 15 years later, and it never gets old! We do spend money each year to keep it looking new for you and us to enjoy! Hope to see you back. Cindy Walker
We had a wonderful stay at the house! It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The location is beautiful—just steps from the lake—and we even spotted deer and eagles in the neighborhood. We hope to be able to come back!

Sean, What a nice review! Hope to see you and family back! Cindy
Great Lake front location. Very well appointed house that’s great for all ages! Loved watching the beautiful sunsets from the dock. Would happily return to this highly recommended property.
If you are seeking relaxation in a beautiful area close to all adventures then this is your VRBO. Cindy’s home was breath taking and we will be back. The home had everything you could imagine, the fireplaces were wonderful, the view, reading my book down by the lake was the most relaxed I’ve been in a while. Plenty of room for two people up to eight. Thank you again Cindy for sharing your beautiful home.

Our kids loved playing in the yard and there was an abundance of toys that they enjoyed. The hot tub was wonderful with views of the lake. It was a very relaxing and fun trip for the whole family.

We have a delightful time. This home is spotless and cozy, there was plenty of space for many adults. The amenities were perfect and the directions on how to use everything was seamless. The owner was thoughtful and repsonsive. We had a blast and would stay again......a true sanctuary near hikes and the lake!

Thanks so much! After 15 years of ownership, we go it all figured out...Hope to see you back. Cindy Walker
Fantastic week at this beautiful, clean, perfectly located home away from home! Everything is exactly as described/shown in the photos. More than enough space for our group of 5 adults and 2 dogs. We thoroughly enjoyed the spacious outdoor patio! Spent our days on the dock enjoying the floating water mat and paddle boards available for our use! Lake was great for swimming! Never know what to expect (if there will be too many weeds for swimming around the dock etc) but this was not an issue at all. Owner is very accessible and helpful! Would not hesitate to recommend and we hope to return!

Always glad when guests enjoy our home. In 15 years, no one has brought up the weeds on the far side of float being a problem. The water is over 20 ft. deep, so don't recommend anyone be jumping/diving in and if doing so, wear a life jacket. We all swim off the beach and out into the clear water, or we jump off the end of dock into the clear water. The lake is not a guarded swimming pool, so always be mindful, is our recommendation, including staying close to shore when swimming or taking out paddle boards, kayaks or our paddle boat. If the wind gets going and the waves chuck up, you may find yourself overturned and stranded, or a speed boat not seeing you and a collision. What we like most about Lake Whatcom, is there is a Police Boat that cruises up and down the lake, so find it one of the safest lakes. Plus there is a fee to drop your boat in for day, so that cuts down on guest boats, so we find the lake relatively quiet and safe, and mostly home owners.
Wonderful setting on the lake, beautiful and clean home, host great to work with.

About the host
Hosted by Cindy Walker
We have been coming to Lake Whatcom with our boats for over 30 years. Lake Whatcom in Bellingham, forms part of the city's eastern border, and is about 14 miles long. Big enough to never tire of a boat ride and always a spot with calm water. Fabulous water sking, boarding or tubing. A lot of people fish, sail boat, parasail... We have towed our boat throughout the Fraser Valley & Interior and always come back to Lake Whatcom. A real paradise.
Why they chose this property
We particularly love the #1 location. We get sun all day long. We look across the lake in early afternoon and see homes in darkness. We are just 10 minutes to town, but away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We have 3 acres to enjoy. We have a wonderful sunny beach, plus trees to shade ourselves. We enjoy our early morning bike rides 1 mile down to Whatcom Park, then 3 miles along the lake trail and back home. Truly fabulous.
What makes this property unique
If you are looking for a new home on a nature filled peace of property with a private beach and boat dock, with loads of parking and a spot to hook a RV trailer or Motorhome, with a fabulous new home, furniture, top of the line linens, fully stocked kitchen, 2 flat screens with cable tv and a pool table, just 12 to 14 minutes to Bellingham and Bellis Fair, 60 minutes to Mt. Baker and famous outlets centres and malls. You just found it. Took us 3 years to find a little bit of heaven.
