2 BR 1 BA family cottage in the heart of Frankfort, MI. Literal steps from the excitement of downtown Frankfort -- Simply walk to the grocery store, boutiques, restaurants/bars, ice cream parlors, beach, and more!
The Frankfort Beach House is the place for you -- sleeps 6 comfortably with use of the pull out couch. The house is stocked with all of the essentials to make your stay comfortable (*Please note that we provide enough supplies to get you started, but it may not last the entirety of your stay depending on length of stay and number guests). Enjoy a complementary bottle of Northern Michigan wine with your stay!
*Please note: The house has bedroom window air conditioning units, the rest of the house does not have air conditioning.
*Please note: Due to the beauty of Northern Michigan and the encouragement to be outdoors, we do not provide cable. We do have a Smart TV with Netflix and other apps that you may use your own log-in for.
*Please note: 2025 summer has proven to be a bad year for ants in Frankfort! There are a few ant traps throughout the house — a couple of these are on the floor. Be aware if you have small children.
Frankfort is known for its beautiful, large freshwater beach directly on Lake Michigan. No Salt, No Sharks, No Worries!

Check us out in all seasons: Early spring to beat the summer rush and enjoy small town Frankfort living, during the summer months for amazing beach days, September for the annual Iron Man race, during the fall months for Up North Fall Color Tours and beer festivals, or even visit us in the winter for a ski trip to Crystal Mountain!

We loved staying here! It is a perfect place for 2 people. Check in and check out we’re quick and easy. The location is perfect just steps from food and shopping, It is an easy stroll to the beach along a tree lined street with some very nice homes. The owners did a great job communicating with us throughout our stay.

The Frankfort Beach House was perfect for our family vacation. The home was clean and excellent proximity to downtown Frankfort’s shops and restaurants. Madeline was a wonderful host and made check-in/check out seamless. We would absolutely stay here in the future!

Great place in Frankfort

This place has everything needed for family with kids: toys, books, very well equipped kitchen. Location is very convenient, 5 min walk to beach and one block away from all the activities. Madeline is very responsive, trying to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Another great Frankfort stay

This house is perfectly located in the heart of Frankfort and so close to Main st so you can walk everywhere. It’s spacious and so much bigger than it looks in the photos which is amazing! The front porch was our favorite place to relax.

Great Location

Everything within walking distance! House is very cute, but beds are very uncomfortable and one seems very unstable so suggest bringing along some extra bedding if you have room. Overall we had a great stay.

Wonderful Location and Home

We stayed here for a wedding weekend with our family and a friend’s family. It fit our families well between the 2 bedrooms and pull out couch. The living room is very spacious (a pleasant surprise as I couldn’t tell from the pictures) and same goes for the kitchen- larger than expected. We loved the nook eat in kitchen table for playing games. The whole home was bright and airy! The home was clean and well kept. We loved the location being one block off the Main Street with shops, restaurants and the lake. We would stay again if we ever return to Frankfort!

Quaint Town, Great Location, Perfect Beach Vacation

Our family has stayed all up and down the Lake MI coast and we loved Frankfort! Everything about our trip exceeded expectations! The house is in a great location - we biked to the beach every day & walked to shops & restaurants (and ice cream!) every evening. A couple 1/2 day trips to Glen Arbor / Sleeping Bear, and the alpine slide at Crystal Mountain. The house is as described and Madeline was great on communication. Highly recommend!

Frankfort stay

This home was perfect for our family of 5. Located downtown, everything was within walking distance. The laundry room is brand new and huge. We so appreciated that because we had stayed somewhere else prior and had to do 2 loads right away. There is no yard for kids to play in, but we did so much hiking and other activities that it was not an issue. Nice quiet neighborhood too.

I am a Northern Michigan native and have spent the past 12 summers in Frankfort -- it's my husband's and my favorite place! We have two dogs at home and are expecting our first baby boy this June. We have hand-picked every item in the cottage and are so excited to share our home with you!

Why they chose this property

Frankfort will forever have a special place in our hearts -- it's where my family of 7 grew up, siblings and friends bonded without phones or TVs, where we experienced so many "firsts" and "lasts". Frankfort is where we learned to surf, paddleboard, and longboard. It's where we ended each night smelling like wine, beer, and a bonfire, with sand in between our toes. It's where we wake up late, sip coffee slow on the porch, and find beauty in all of the quiet moments of life.
This city holds my family's fondest memories, and we hope it'll do the same for you and yours as well.

The Frankfort Beach Cottage is literal steps away from downtown Frankfort. It is the perfect location! You can walk to all things downtown, or beach. If you have a bike, it's just a few blocks to the grocery store as well. No need to worry about hopping in your car and scheduling a day out -- simply put on your shoes, and walk to wherever your heart desires!
