Great get-away. The historic loft is beautiful, clean, and modern. Surprisingly, there was NO "old" smell, and despite the outdoor dining below, it was perfectly quiet in the bedroom. And the BED-so comfortable! We loved our stay and enjoyed hiking in the state parks nearby!
We are repeat guests, and everything was just as we remembered. The suite is kept clean and well-stocked. It is a great place to relax after a day of hiking.
Just the perfect getaway for us. Excellent stay in all ways. The place is so comfortable and yet extravagant. The location is ideal for enjoying the local dining and a short drive to the beautiful hiking trails of Starved Rock.

Excellent location, very historical building! Great stay, great host, will definitely rent again!
My family and I stayed in the Frances suite. It is very nicely finished, super clean and spacious. The kitchen has all the essentials. We love its location in downtown Utica and right above a coffee shop!
Great weekend getaway: clean, well appointed, and comfy. Such a short drive from Chicago and close to all sorts of fun exploring (towns and parks). We'll be back for sure.
We stayed for a weekend and we were very happy. The place is very clean and recently renovated. I would come back again for sure. The location is convenient for walking to restaurants and a short drive to the parks.
The loft was stunning 😍 It was elegantly decorated and the view of downtown was beautiful. When our friends saw it they were very impressed. We would definitely stay there again.

This historic loft was absolutely amazing!!! We’ll be back again!!!
My husband and teen daughter loved this loft stay! It was in the perfect location for noshing, hiking, antiquing and biking ( right off I and M canal path ). We will definitely book this loft again!
We had a beautiful stay. The loft is clean and perfectly appointed, exactly what we needed to enjoy a relaxing getaway. It is located within minutes of Starved Rock and Matthiessen. The town of Utica was charming with plenty of great options for meals and drinks. Thanks for a great weekend away!
We loved this unique property in downtown Utica, clean comfortable and wonderfully restored historic loft space. We appreciated all the thoughtful touches even down to the fluffy towels. Sweet treat coupons left by host were appreciated. Highly recommend this property and would stay again, this is a gem!

Thank you so much Nicole! We appreciate your kind words and hope we can host you again someday:)
My husband and I enjoyed a weekend at the Suite Frances. The location couldn't have been better; we loved its proximity to Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Park. The street has several restaurants, bars, a brewery, and a cute cafe. I highly recommend the property; it's incredibly clean, updated, and the windows are amazing. We look forward to returning!
The location is outstanding and the interior is immaculate! Spacious and comfortable. Great communication with the owners. Do yourself a favor, if it's available book it!
Such a beautiful pad to call home for a stint. Excellently constructed and designed one-bedroom loft; perfect. In the heart of Utica, great proximity to parks, trails, eats, etc. The Illinois Valley, an extraordinary place. History abounds. The I&M Canal trail makes for an awesome ride. We met the author of The Starved Rock Murders, Steve Stout, on the Sainte Genevieve. He said to say hi!

It was what came after!
Arrived at the location, everything went well. I read over the do’s and dont’s to ensure all responsibilities. I came in and swept some minor debris left prior to my stay. My fiancé and I were there only to rest and shower. We were there mainly to frequent the parks and winery. I received a request for an additional 250 cleaning fee.We couldn’t understand what this was for, when I went over and beyond what was asked in the manual, because that’s just me. I received a message stating the property was left in inhumane living conditions with feces inside. I’m thinking what no one even passed bowels there. So I asked for photos. I was sent a picture of red smudge on a piece of stone. The property manager was Very rude! I replied is this a joke or scam? I wanted to know where was this even located inside the home? And the response was I’m going to report you.I made sure this was reported because I feel this was a scam or possibly an extortion for additional money. I went online and seen this is something that happens often.…please be aware!!!I made sure I kept all photos and messages! Would love to post them! Also what she didn’t know was my fiancé and I own several air, bnb properties so I took a video of the property with a date and time stamp upon leaving! Make sure this is something you do at all times
