Chad, thank you so much for your kind words. We’re truly happy to know you felt welcomed from the moment you arrived and that you enjoyed every aspect of the property. That’s exactly what we strive for — to make every stay special, comfortable, and authentic. It will be a pleasure to welcome you back whenever you decide to return to Bacalar. We’ll be here with open arms, ready for another unforgettable experience by the lagoon. Warm regards, Luis – your host at Casa Villa Real

Amazing trip

Amazing communication with owner. Great location, a few blocks away from downtown. Everything was very clean and owner also supplied kayaks and life jackets.

Our short stay

The outside living area is very nice with beautiful views of lagoon. Outside area should have been swept/cleaned better before our arrival. The downstairs living area and bathrooms were nice, but the bedrooms/beds left much to be desired. The property managers were very easy to communicate with and responsive. Overall, the property was good but not great.

We called it the glass house as you could see the water from every angle of the house. The house was clean and communication was perfect during the entire process. This house is walking distance to all needs but we had a car because we went at the end of June and the humidity was high so we drove many places. The AC worked great but only in the rooms but the two fans downstairs would cool the kitchen and living room to bearable. The furniture was cozy, Beds are firm, outdoor furniture was great and the kayaks was a bonus as you cannot see the sunset unless you are on the water. Kayaking was a highlight. The full moon rise and sunrises were picture perfect. Bathrooms are great and water pressure is nice. The kitchen had basic kitchen needs. We made breakfast everyday but ate out dinner every night. If we needed anything Luis or Juan were there to help. They went as far as buying us games to play at night. More than accommodating. We stayed 10 nights and paid more than we usually do on a house but we were celebrating my son’s graduation and 18th birthday but it was worth it to be right in the water. No complaints it was a lovely vacation and the house was everything we wanted! We can’t wait to go back!
