Lovely cottage in wilderness of the National Park

The mountain chalet on mountaine pasture Uskovnica offers luxurious amenities with a modern kitchen, spacious dining area, comfortable sofa, and bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, one with a large balcony. Relax in the Finnish sauna or unwind at the outdoor table and bench after hiking or mountain biking.

Important details: The chalet is in a mountainous area accessed by a macadam road (1 km can be bumpy). In winter might be suitable to park 800m away and walk to the cabin due to snow. Be prepared with appropriate gear and buy food in advance from markets in Srednja vas, a 30-minute drive away. A mountain hut 1.2 km (20-minute walk) offers dining options and pre-orders fresh bread in summer.

Explore the area through numerous hiking and biking trails. SUVs can park at the chalet, while for others road may be challenging, so parking at Lom, a 25-minute walk away, is more advisable (to assess the road or if one preferes not to drive).

Lovely stay and great for hiking!

We had a lovely stay at the house. It looked excactly like the pictures. We loved the fireplace and the sauna. We also saw some deers around the house. The road is quite challenging but doable, even with front wheel drive seat ibiza. Altogheter a great stay for an active holiday!

Excellent house to explore the Bohinj mountain area

We enjoyed the house and its location in thr Triglav National Park. It is a good starting point for hikes, and close to explore the Bohinj/Bled region. The house was very clean, we enjoyed the sauna after an active hiking day. Communications with Tomas and Barbara went very smooth, they replyed very quickly in case of questions. Everything was taken care of: towels, sheets, dish washing stuff… With a 4 wheel drive it was no problem to reach the house, a low suspension car may require a more careful drive. Of you are into the mountains, nature and hiking, this is a perfect place!

Natur und Erholung pur

Wir waren für eine Woche im Oktober in dieser außergewöhnlichen Hütte und können diese nur empfehlen. Trotz der kleinen Größe war wirklich alles vorhanden und sehr durchdacht und liebevoll eingerichtet. Probleme wurden durch Barbara und Tom umgehend gelöst. Wer auf der Suche nach Ruhe und Urlaub in der Natur ist, wird beides hier finden. Wanderungen findet man direkt vom Haus aus. Jederzeit wieder! Danke Barbara und Tom.

Traumhaft ruhig

Wir haben uns gut erholt. Das Pendeln auf den Berg hatten wir etwas unterschätzt. Tolle Gegend mit vielen Möglichkeiten. Für die Anreise empfehlen wir ein Fahrzeug mit robuster Bereifung. Unsere Standardbereifung hat am letzten Tag versagt. Ein Ersatzrad wäre gut gewesen. Sowohl Abschlep- als auch Taxifahrer haben sich mit der Schotterstraße schwer getan. Die Hütte in der Nähe und auch die Wanderziele können wir weiter empfehlen. Die Unterkunft entspricht in allen Details der Beschreibung!

Das Haus ist ein Juwel

Das Haus ist wundervoll in einer herrlichen Umgebung gelegen. Es war alles nahezu neu, sehr sauber sowie stimmig und geschmackvoll mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Sauberkeit und Zustand sind bemerkenswert, da die Vermieter nicht vor Ort leben. Die Anfahrt ist mit einem normalen PKW etwas schwierig und vom Straßenzustand abhängig. Man sollte bei Anreise am Samstag beachten, dass die Geschäfte am Sonntag geschlossen haben. In unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft ist eine empfehlenswerte Alm und man bekommt Milch, Butter und Käse im Dorf. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

This year - 2023 my husband and I, and my two grown up kids, we have finished renovation of the cottage and transformed it into a modern vacation home, where you can escape from hustle and bustle of every day life and enjoy in the wilderness around.

Why they chose this property

The location is special and unique - you can not build any new houses in this area, as it is protected by low. This is National Triglav Park, where only existing houses can be renovated recording to rules in the Park.
