So glad you could stay at the farm during Thanksgiving weekend. And the first snow for the 2025 to 26 winter season. Sometimes these off-season times can be some of the most relaxing.!
Was a Comfy Country Home to come back to after touring the Sites that the Upper Peninsula has to offer. We Enjoyed Our Stay & Will Be Returning in the Future!

Wonderful that you enjoyed your stay! We welcome your return.
This place was incredible. Very nice farm house feel. Very very relaxing. We went up to go fishing and had more fun relaxing at the house. The owner is on it with any questions we had. The chickens were a blast. Fed them from our hands and pet them. We will definitely be back.

Thank you so much for staying. We really enjoy hosting guest, who appreciate the accommodations, the land, and especially the chickens!
This property was perfect for our work group. Beds were comfortable, house was clean, location was great. Will definitely stay again. Thank you jessie!!
My wife and I wanted to stay somewhere peaceful and quiet but still close to st ignace, and this place was absolutely perfect. We loved watching the stars at night and drinking our coffee on the front porch in the mornings, we had a lot of fun seeing the chickens and collecting the fresh eggs! We had the best anniversary trip! We will most definitely stay again!
Great getaway, home away from home! Very relaxing and can unplug from everything. My daughter didn’t even care that we put her tablet up for the weekend. She cried when it was time to go saying she didn’t want to leave lol. We are already talking about going back!
Great relaxing weekend. Place was clean and quiet just what we were looking for. Enjoyed watching the hummingbirds in the morning. All the amenities we needed were provided. Stayed up and watched the northern lights and meteor shower.
We enjoyed our time on the farm. Our cell service was hit and miss, but we were busy taking in all that Hessel and Cedarville has to offer. The rooster and chickens can be entertaining as well. If you're looking for a relaxing atmosphere with most of the comfort of home, this place is for you.
What a lovely spot! Close to the ferry to visit the island, as well as some cute small towns. Our 2 year old loved visiting the chickens and exploring the yard, and we all loved the fresh eggs. Wear pants and socks when exploring outside - we encountered many ticks. Loved watching all the birds and even saw some early morning deer visitors. Would stay again.
We absolutely loved it at Sweet Winds Farm. The location was perfect for our planned trip to Mackinac Island. Super convenient and easy. The home itself was clean, perfect amount of room for our family of 6, but also cozy and warm feeling. Not great cell service, but that was a blessing. It felt like a step back in time a little to just enjoy family time and make breakfast together before heading out for the day. We had everything we needed there - lots of towels, pillows, and full kitchen. My kids LOVED the chickens on the farm. They were sweet and fun to feed. Jessie was also great at communicating throughout our entire stay. I’d love to come back again some day!
We had a few days to spend in the UP and we were happy to stay at Sweet Winds farm. My kids enjoyed watching the chickens in the yard and commented on how quiet it is there. The accommodations worked out well for our family of 6. We enjoyed looking at the nature books and playing some of the board games provided at the property when it was raining or before we left for our excursions. The property is 20-25 minutes from the Narnia trail (Bush Bay trail) in Cedarville, which is just dreamy! It also worked out for us to take in the sights at Whitefish point, Sault Ste Marie, and St. Ignace. Thanks form providing a peaceful retreat for our family!
