Moose on the Loose is a beautiful, custom built, true log cabin located in the Cobbly Nob neighborhood of Gatlinburg, TN. It has everything you need to enjoy your trip including a fully equipped kitchen and resort amenities like 3 Community Pools, and Pickleball and Basketball Courts. It is semi-secluded, nestled into the trees with a view of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park right across the street and just minutes to downtown Gatlinburg.

The space:
You will be given a code to access to the cabin
There are 3 bedrooms (1 of which is located in the Rec Room) + 2.5 bathrooms that sleeps 8. You will have 3 levels with 4 decks (3 covered and 1 uncovered)

First floor:
- Queen over Queen beautiful log bunk beds (Bunks are located in the game room)
- 3-in-1 Pool / Air Hockey / Ping Pong Table and Foosball table
- Theater seating with 4 recliners and a 75-inch TV with streaming and surround sound. You can also stream your favorite music through Bluetooth over the surround sound system with subwoofer
- Covered deck with 5 person Hot Tub with color changing LED lights and a wooded view
- Several board games and puzzles
- Wine cooler
- Half bathroom
- 2 ceiling fans
- Laundry room with a full size washer and dryer

Second/Main Floor:
- 9 stairs to the front deck and enter into the open kitchen/dining/sitting area

The house was Amazing! Soo clean! GameRoom was soo fun! My family and I had a great time! I would for sure recommend! Host was always checking in to make sure we were happy and asking if we needed anything. Also, we saw a bear :)

Simply perfect

Our family of 7 enjoyed every part of this property! Not only is it tucked into a gorgeous mountainside with beautiful views and wild life, but it also offered plenty of entertainment on its own. The game room and hot tub were a hit with the kids and the multiple balconies were a hit for the parents. It was close enough to Gatlinburg if you wanted a night out but far enough from the city to feel close to nature and the mountains. If you’re looking for a family retreat that entertains the kids so you can get a break, this is your place!

Spring break getaway

Would definitely stay here again if back in the area. House is exactly as pictures show. We all enjoyed the game area and the hot tub.Property manager checked with us during our stay to make sure all was going well. This was one of our favorite bookings over the last few years!

Perfect cabin

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. We were very pleased with the location and the activities that the house provided our three boys. They had plenty of things to do while we were in the cabin. My family of five had plenty of room. We loved being outside of town but not so far it took us forever. Gatlinburg was just a quick ride from the cabin. We will be back in the future!

Our experience was ideal in every way. The home was immaculate, hosts had excellent communication, views were beautiful, and the amenities were great! We were close enough to the National Park witgout being in the midst of the tourism and the views were beautiful!

The house was better than I could have expected!!! I knew it was great, but once there, it was amazing! I loved that it wasn’t right in the downtown area, but yet everything was close enough to get to. The beds were comfortable, the house was spacious, stocked with everything you needed for cooking, very clean, and there was plenty to do to keep everyone happy (pool table, air hockey, ping pong, foosball), and theater seating to enjoy a movie at night. We loved using the hot tub in the evenings and playing games as a family in the game room. We saw black bears every day which was so cool. But, the thing that made our stay even better was how attentive the hosts were. Amanda got back to me so quickly with any questions I had. To me, that speaks volumes!!! I would highly recommend this house! If I come to Gatlinburg again, this would be my choice for sure!!!

Very nice place.

Great house in a great location with a very nice view of the mountains. The road getting there was worrisome at times but that added to the adventure and is to be expected with a house in the mountains. We enjoyed the hot tub, hike theater, and game room very much.

Beautiful Cabin!

This cabin is beautiful. What a relaxing place to stay. The cabin was spotless, very clean and well maintained. The game room and theater was a blast. Beautiful kitchen and well stocked with plenty of dishes and cook wear. Our host Amanda was the best. We stayed during a winter storm and she kept us up-to-date on weather info. She was quick to respond. Even though the roads were scrapped and salted we enjoyed staying in. Amanda gave us recommendations for dining and we tried the Pizzeria of Gatlinburg and it was delicious!We saw 3 deer and 4 black bears! We would definitely recommend this amazing cabin and we look forward to rebooking.

AMAZING!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay and no one was ready to leave! It's located just outside the center of Gatlinburg, so just far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The roads inside the community are paved but steep and narrow in places, but then again you are in the mountains. The house was very clean and cozy throughout. The lower level game room/theater room with queen over queen bunks was major hit. Amanda was always checking in and very helpful!

Amazing!

Moose on the Loose cabin is everything as described plus more! Stunning views, close to everything we planned, great communication, extremely clean and came equipped with everything we needed! The mattresses were amazing, we all commented how well we slept. So many details that Amanda added to make it even more special. We traveled with two seniors, two adults and two teens for spring break week. The game room and hot tub were perfect. The teens didn't want to leave; many great memories for all! We even saw bears on two different occasions walking along the timbers and later right along the driveway. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you Amanda!

Teen Paradise and Bear Central Station

Our family has been coming to the Smokies for more than a decade. We’ve tent camped and RV camped in the park, and have stayed in a few other cabins in the area. This trip we needed maximum rest and recovery with minimum stress. This cabin delivered! It had everything two teens could have wanted. We didn’t even leave the cabin for one whole day because we were all having such a good time. We loved the convertible pool table, watching movies in the theater area, and moving in and out of the hot tub. Everyone had space to come together and gather meaningfully while having privacy when they wanted. The three decks afforded different views and experiences. We spied a bear on the front deck as he crossed the street. And then another one down the road as we headed to the pool. And then a mother and cub came up to the back deck and stayed to dig at a tree stump. It was an amazing encounter and we were safely tucked up and away. The kitchen was easy to cook in and keep clean, and was well-equipped. And the location feels like the best of both worlds: mountain and forest views, tucked far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg without being too far from anything.

Beautiful cabin, lovely views out the front balcony. Everything was as the host described. The cabin was spotless and had every necessity. The kids loved the hot tub and we all enjoyed the game room. My only complaint is that there was no storage for clothes in the bunk bed area- maybe just a small dresser would be helpful- and a few more hooks/ area for shoes and jackets near or around the entry. Overall we had a fabulous time at "moose on the loose"!

Amazing

This property was amazing! The outside was beautiful as was the inside. Every detail was thought out and I loved all the moose touches! My teenagers really enjoyed the game room. The only downside was the driveway - either I'm not the best at maneuvering or it was just a little too small for my SUV to turn around. We had to reverse into the road to leave, which turned out fine, but I was a little nervous. This small detail would definitely not prevent me from staying here again.

We had an absolutely blissful weekend at the cabin with our family. From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed and at home. The setting was peaceful and beautifully secluded, surrounded by nature, yet with all the comforts we needed.The cabin was clean, cozy, and well-equipped, making it easy to unwind and just enjoy each other’s company. Great stay!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin! The location was perfect as it was only 20 minutes from all the attractions in Gatlinburg. The host was super responsive and went out of her way to help us find some great spots for our son’s surprise proposal to his girlfriend. The host even checked on us to make sure the stay was going well. There was plenty of space for us to gather as a family and play games but also space on each of the decks for us to have our own downtime. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Something for everyone

Very communicative, friendly, and helpful hosts! Plenty of entertainment for everyone, amazing views, and in proximity to everything we eanted to do in town! Highly recommend eating at Pizzeria of Gatlinburg. It was so good!

Why they chose this property

You will fall in love with everything this cabin has to offer. From the 3 levels offering ample personal space for everyone to spread out to the mountain view and you can't forget the game room or theater space. If you have a problem it's because there's too much to do and too little time to do it all in!

What makes this property unique

In the winter time you can enjoy the fire place that is simply turned on/off with the flick of a button on the remote. You have the game room to challenge your family members or friends and prove you are the ultimate winner of Pool, Air Hockey, Ping Pong, and Foosball. Or you can settle down and watch a movie on the big screen with recliner theater seating.
In the Summer time there are 4 decks you can rock and take in the mountain view from the front or the private wooded view from the back. There's also a large gravel area you can let the kids run to get their energy out! The community also offers 3 swimming pools (2 pools from May - September and the heated pool open from May - October), a tennis court, basketball court, and walking trails. There is also a 18 hole golf course located at the entrance of the neighborhood less than 1 mile from the cabin.
