The place was nice and very clean, and everything was well maintained. The beds were a little uncomfortable, and it would have been helpful to have a dishwasher or at least a sponge to wash the dishes. There also could have been a few more towels provided. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay and appreciated how tidy and organized everything was.
Very clean and the supply of “starter products” (paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, trash bags and hand soap) was generous. The cabin is spacious and the views are picturesque. The hot tub was great. Everyone in our party enjoyed it.
Overall, this is a great house and it had plenty of space for 5 adult couples. Nice entertainment space in the basement with a pool table; Fire pit in the front; hot tub on the back deck; and a wrap around deck with a few rockers spread around. The one downside were the beds in every room were very noisy and pretty uncomfortable. In addition, everyone could hear everyone else's beds creaking! So, not a lot of sound proofing. The Pots and pans were pretty old and not a lot of options. The grill was in pieces and unusable as far as we could tell (and the grates were pretty rusty). Those issues were pretty minor overall and I would recommend this place for similar adult outings!
We thought from the photos it would be larger but there was still a lot of space. Hot tub was great! Nice fire pit. The only real compliment is the drive up to the property.
We had so much fun at this house! Close to town - we had cell service even though there isn’t internet. We spent the weekend hiking ( 30 min drive to the popular hikes ) & we rented a pontoon boat at a local lake. The host was very responsive & quick to fix any kind of issues we had. Overall we had a great time.
Friends hiking trip. We enjoyed the comfortable home, hot tub, fire pit and pool table were all very nice! The beds were a little uncomfortable but not too bad. Definitely need to bring your own pillows… the ones they provide are flat and hard.
The cleaning could have been quite a bit more thorough but overall a nice home for the price.
Women an man came asking us if we had fire arms or fireworks .. we got are fire wood out of the area woods.. something popped really loud 2 times .. we assume something was already inn the fire pit.. other than that had a great stay an saw BEAUTIFUL HORSES TROTT THREW THE AREA SEVERAL TIMES
Overall it was a good stay, but with limited signage on the driveway, one of my family arrived in the dark, overshot the cabin and had to get towed back up the hill. Having clearly marked signage past or at your piccolo cabin could have prevented this. Also the driveway itself up to the cabin was said to be freshly graveled but they didn't do a good job, the gravel was loose with big splashy bumps.

Tight space for 6 bedroom
No wifi, no dishwasher. Was not very clean. Tight space for 6 bedrooms or 12 people. Thank god for hot spots. Very little silverware. Fridge - couldn’t put anything on shelves on inside of the door.

If there was any issue with the lodge while the guest was staying with us, they didn't contact us about anything, as far as I can see.
We emphasize letting us know, as soon as possible, if there are any issues, so we can send someone to check things out and take care of what we can.
Unfortunately, some guests wait till afterward and post reviews instead.
Please call us right away, if you notice that anything needs attention.
We like to have happy guests, but we can't help, if we aren't made aware.
While technically it can sleep 12, there isn't kitchen table space or seating space in the same room for everyone. We had a group of 5 and it was perfect. Water pressure wasn't great and we had trouble locking the door to the outside the first night. We couldn't get the dvd player working on the main floor. We would have liked to have had an option to recycle cans and things. The instructions at the cabin ask you to clean up, strip beds, etc. which is fine, but then it also asks you to consider leaving a tip for housekeeping. Either I'm willing to clean or I'm willing to tip housekeeping but not do both on my vacation. Overall I'd say any complaints are minor and we'd stay there again.
We rented this cabin for my sister’s Harry Potter themed Bachelorette party. There were 9 of us total. It was super low key - played lots of games, watched movies, drank some wine - all of us in loungewear/pajamas. This was the perfect spot for this kind of low-key “staycation”. I loved that they had an extra foldout table in the basement, which we took upstairs to make more room for card games. Although we didn’t use it, the pool table was a nice touch for those interested in playing. We got good use out of the hot tub and outdoor fire pit. All of the rooms/bathrooms were nice and well kept. I was pleasantly surprised that we didn’t come across any indoor pests or bugs (unlike past cabin trips I’ve been on at other locations). The only thing to note is that there’s no dishwasher or WiFi, although these are clearly not advertised in the listing - just not something I thought to look for! The dishwasher wasn’t a problem, as we brought paper plates and such. We used my hot spot on my phone so we could stream movies with the Roku we brought, and this worked just fine. I just suggest you bring DVDs or a blue ray player w/blue ray discs if you plan on watching movies. The owners did supply some decent DVD options. All-in-all, it was a great stay and I would certainly consider visiting again in the future!

Hocking hills round 3
Well based on the listing we thought this cabin looked very spacious but when we arrived we noticed that it was smaller outside as well as inside and everything was quite broken up. The hot tub gets drained and refilled with each stay so don’t expect it to be hot enough to soak in on your first night! Zero cleaning supplies which is always rough when there’s more than 10 of us and the place wa gs us to actually clean clean before leaving. Don’t look at the floor vents if you don’t want to be absolutely disgusted by the gunk build up. Driveway is treacherous and my car barely made it up! Cabin definitely had enough space to sleep 12 so that was great and having a bathroom on every level was phenomenal. Beds were comfortable for the most part. Didn’t love that there were zero screens in the windows so when it got nice and we wanted to open things up we had to worry about bugs and critters! 3 people fell getting out of the hot tub because even the tiniest bit of water on that deck makes it insanely slippery so we put a bunch of towels down. The look of the cabin was gorgeous. Instead of the Adirondack chairs shown in the pic around the fire pit they have metal ones and those were awful so bring camping chairs if you plan to use the fire pit. All appliances worked great. Walls are for sure paper thin so if you’re the first one to go to sleep usually then I would suggest the basement rooms. We were very happy with our stay overall just want to be honest I’m the review.

Disappointed - Not cozy, waist of money,
The driveway was very difficult to pull up. Luckily we have a Dodge Ram. Pot holes - had to go 1 mile per hour.
The outside wood was very slippery on the side of the deck/house. Mold in the wood combined with rain made it hazardous .The staircase was missing a side railing. Looked like wood root in the wood. One of our guests fell down the stairs because they were VERY slippery and suffered back injury. My husband also slipped and fell and has a bruised back.
I did message the host a few hours ago before leaving, but I haven't heard back yet. I did take pictures and videos.
To begin, the pictures made it look much bigger than it really was.
The living room furniture is OLD and in terrible condition. One couch has a blanket over it because it is in such terrible condition- the leather was worn and cracked.
Kitchen-
The table is extremely worn.
The cabin window in front of the table is not totally transparent. It could have been dirty or the seal is broken so it looked foggy. Not sure exactly.
The drawers had a few dead bugs and contained debris in them. All pots/pans/ glass-wear were not sanitary and had to be washed before using. No dishwasher, so for a large group you had a lot of dishes to wash. It was very inconvenient.
The first floor and upstairs mattresses squeeked loudly every time you turned over. They were not comfortable. Not to mention anytime my husband or I turned over we were awoken. The other couple heard it from their room with the door closed.
