The Plaza Casita is charming and comfortable, and is in an ideal location if you're spending time in Arcata. The Cal Poly campus, COOP and Wildberries markets, Northtown Books, and several good places to eat are within easy walking distance.

Although our visit was under less fortunate circumstances, our stay couldn't have been any better. The house had everything thing we needed. Accommodations allowed us to feel at home and give us the peace we desperately needed during our visit. i would definitely rent here again for any future visits. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

What a cute casita! It was very close to the downtown Arcata square so the location was great. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were super comfortable. There is some road noise during the day, but at night it was very quiet and we slept well.

Really cute older house! Great house if you have a baby that needs naps because the room with the blue curtains is furthest from the living room and is separated by a hallway that's fully enclosed with doors, so you can talk/watch TV/whatever without worrying about waking up baby. We stayed in August and the house got pretty warm (high was 65F but room got to 78F) while we were gone during the day, but they had (2) portable fans available to cool it down pretty quickly.

Easy to find, great location, lots of restaurants within walking distance, as well as a large Safeway and CVS. House was clean and well appointed. Enjoyed the high-flow shower head but be careful, you can run out all the hot water quickly! Great little place and very comfy. Thanks

Cute older home, well maintained and furnished. Great location close to the plaza. Comfy beds and well stocked kitchen. We spent lots of time at the community forest, moon stone beach, and Redwood parks. Wonderful summer escape from the Arizona desert. No AC but the summer temps were mild and we opened windows to cool the house. We had a small issue with guests checking into a vacation home in the back of the property not being informed they need to enter through the alley. Two different groups came up our driveway and tried to get into our lockbox, thinking they were checking into the unit we were occupying. They were just as surprised to see us as we were to hear them! One group was even confident the listing they booked used the picture of the house we were staying in! Everyone was nice and the confusion was quickly resolved.Would definitely stay here again!

Charming home

I had a comfortable stay in La Casita. It was a close distance to downtown and conveniently located across the street from a sandwich shop. The home had a lot of charm and beds were super comfortable. I’d stay here again!

Great location to explore the area

Property location is a big plus. Walk to The square. Easy access to hiking and beaches. Only downside is just 1 bathroom to share

Fun and cozy

The Plaza Casita is a lovely property. Just enough space for four adults to move comfortably. The king bed is so comfortable!! We had everything we needed and it was just a short walk to restaurants, a really neat brewery, a winery, and grocery store. Everything we needed or wanted!

great spot

Had a very cozy time. Great spot! I wish there had been things to hold on to in the shower as I am older and also walking in and out of the house but all in all the place was really nice and clean. I will stay here again when I come back to visit my family.

My family and I had a very pleasant stay! Plaza Casita is very walkable to great restaurants, the grocery store, and Cal Poly Humboldt (which we were checking out for my son). The only weird thing that happened was that Vrbo cancelled my trip (after we'd already paid and while we were in route to our destination), but Amy (the host) and I were able to stay in communication, and she knew we were still planning to stay. Aside from that little hiccup (and the bit of confusion we both experienced), my family and I had a great time! It was a perfect place for us to stay!

The Casista

Super cute bungalow, clean, great location. A couple blocks from downtown eateries and the Safeway. The most comfortable bed ever!! I took a nap just to lay on the bed again lol. Would stay here again and recommend to friends.

Ideal Location

We stayed in this adorable cottage on a birthday visit to our son, who is a student at Cal Poly Humboldt. The house was perfectly situated to walk to campus, cafes and restaurants, grocery stores, and the Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary. The house is so pretty and nicely equipped with kitchen equipment/supplies, toiletries in the bathroom, etc. Our lovely visit was enhanced by having such a comfortable home base.

Not tech savvy.

Did not like the way the TV was set up. Requires your own streaming codes, which as a 70+ person I don’t have or know how to do.

Cozy, well-located, clean Casita

Two bedroom with Jack & Jill bath (bathroom between two bedrooms). Well-supplied kitchen and home. You can tell Amy has worked in hospitality for a number of years - well-suited and placed furniture and supplies. Dining magazine and Host notebook were outdated. Minetti’s for example closed in 2024. I understand it is difficult to keep up with closures these days! Many tips and recommendations in Host notebook were still helpful and relevant. Did not affect our visit, but knob missing fromBathroom cabinet. It is a very cute and functional 1920s(?) home with nice touches - built in shelves, etc. Good natural light, outdoor space and good viewing for people watching especially on Saturday during the plaza farmer’s market. Quick, easy walk to the square and town, organic/bulk option grocery co-op, restaurants and nightlife - movies and live music. We enjoyed blues rock at The Basement for a 5 cover. Comfortable beds with two pillow options and soft sheets. A very enjoyable stay! .
