3 night stay on Butler St., Lawrenceville, PA

We were looking for a nice play to stay while visiting our daughter in the area. This apt. on Butler St (#2) of a renovated building of six apts., definitely had pros and cons. The Pros: Great location (right on popular Butler St.), pet friendly, nicely decorated, extra touches with amenities, comfortable bed and apartment. The Cons: While the location on Butler is a plus, it has its drawbacks - noise level. Being on the corner of a bustling street like Butler, you have a bar right next door and surrounding restaurants. Since apt. 2 is on the main level to the street, there is a lot of late noise from the bar and people walking by, then the trash and delivery trucks Very early in the morning - which is understandable. The shared laundry is Right below you, and the people going up/down the steps to the other apartments is also loud! (Only a door separates the apt. and the steps. Can hear Everything.) If you are a late night person(s), no problem! A situation did occur in which we contacted the property manager. Instead of offering compensation towards that stay, a discount was offered for a future stay at one of their properties. “It’s not the mistake, but how it’s handled.”

We love our location, as it's right in the middle of everything - but it's not for everyone! We have sound machines for anyone that's an extra light sleeper. Unfortunately after check out, Maryjoy told us the coffee machine had coffee grounds in it. It has a built in grinder, so this is pretty normal, and isn't a cleaning issue. We offered her $50 off a future stay, but she apparently wanted a partial refund - which we felt was unreasonable given the coffee grinder was just doing its job. We are the top rated hosts in Pittsburgh, with a 4.93 rating across over 20k+ stays, and we've gotten there by providing great service.
