Why they chose this property
We fell in love with Rock Island because it captures the true, rugged beauty of Lake Oconee. While many parts of the lake are becoming heavily developed, this area—tucked away on the southern end near Wallace Dam—still feels like a peaceful nature retreat.
We chose this specific spot because of the water quality; the coves here are deep, clear, and calm, making it the perfect 'playground' for swimming and kayaking away from heavy boat traffic. Plus, being a short boat ride from the famous Jumping Rock and minutes from Fish Tales Marina means you have all the fun of the lake right at your fingertips without the noise of the busier resort areas. It’s where the locals go to actually enjoy the water.

What makes this property unique
Enjoy the rare luxury of a flat, gently sloped walk to the water—no 'stair-climbing workout' required to get to the dock!
Located in the coveted Rock Island Coves, our home offers some of the deepest and cleanest water on the lake, tucked away from the main channel for peaceful, wake-free swimming and floating.
Nestled at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac on a wooded double-lot, our home offers a level of privacy and 'forest-meets-lake' serenity that is hard to find.
Whether it's morning coffee on the screened-in porch, afternoon arcade tournaments in the rec room, or sunset s'mores by the lakefront fire pit, we’ve designed every inch of this home for multi-activity vacations.
