⚠️ Safety, Accessibility Notes, & House Rules
--Homes are NOT baby-proofed (no outlet covers, no cabinet locks, furniture is not secured to walls, etc). Guests are responsible for their safety.
--Steep, historic stairs + low thresholds (tall guests: watch your head!)
--Retro stove gets warm on outside surface—caution w/ kids
--Check for ticks after outdoor time
--Free-range chickens & occasional rooster → friendly but interact at your own risk
--Honeybee hives on property (kept away from house, but avoid if allergic)
--Max occupancy: 9 guests (no extra guests)
--No pets (due to free-range animals & allergies), parties, or events –this farm is our personal home. We are only interested in renting it out about once a month (at most), and we are only interested in renting to the most respectful guests.
--🚭 No smoking inside or within 50 ft (violations = $300 cleaning fee)


⏰ Check-In / Check-Out
--Check-In: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
--Check-Out: 10:00 AM
--Guests will receive key code & detailed check-in instructions via message on the morning of arrival.
--Michigan City operates on Central Standard Time (CST).
--Hosts may greet you to introduce the property & animals


🛡️ Booking Requirements
We’re excited to welcome guests from all backgrounds and want to make sure every stay is enjoyable, safe, and comfortable for both you and our neighbors. To help us maintain a great experience, we ask that:
--The primary renter is 25+ with a verified government ID.
--A $500 damage deposit hold is required. This is an authorization hold only (not a charge) and is released at checkout once our team confirms the home is in good condition.
--At least one week’s notice in order to request dates.

After booking, first-time guests are required to sign a standard rental agreement that reflects the house rules and booking details shown on this listing. Information provided is used solely to coordinate maintenance or schedule adjustments during your stay. This information is kept strictly within our team and is never shared externally.
