Gather in an 8,500-sq-ft lodge with 7 bedrooms, 7.5 baths, 2 kitchens, a private hot tub, cedar sauna, and spacious lounges. Maximum occupancy is 20 guests; additional sleeping spaces offer flexibility for guest preferences, not extra occupancy. Enjoy fireplaces, wet bars, a game room, dining spaces, and a wooded deck. Escape Room available for an extra fee. Suitable for corporate retreats, weddings, and private parties.



The Space:

Manor Lodge offers 8,500 square feet for groups of up to 20 guests, with 7 bedrooms and flexible sleeping arrangements. Although the available sleeping spaces could physically accommodate 35, the maximum permitted occupancy is 20 guests. The extra sleeping options let guests choose arrangements that suit their preferences; they do not increase the guest limit.



The lodge features 7.5 baths, 2 fully equipped kitchens, lounges with fireplaces, saloon wet bars, a game room, banquet and dining rooms, a porch with rocking chairs, and a deck overlooking the woods. Enjoy the private hot tub and cedar sauna. The Escape Room is available for an additional fee.



Camp Because I said I would is owned by a charity, so 100% of our fees go to our nonprofit. Because I said I would is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and we have programs for families in bereavement at this camp. However, we rent our 5 resort cabins during downtime to generate funding for the charity!

Our 92-acre camp and retreat center is in the heart of Amish Country in Knox County where it is very peaceful, private and quiet. Our property features a 1.5-acre swimming and fishing lake (seasonal), a 2-acre vineyard, 1-mile of privately-owned canopied forest trails. We are so much more than just a place to sleep!



Guest Access:

Guests access this cabin from our second driveway, and a property map is provided after booking. We have digital keypad access! Please note you have to drive down a gravel road for about a half mile to get to our property. All parking for Manor Lodge is in Parking Lot #2. There is NO PARKING allowed in the turnaround or against the warehouse next door.

If you are interested in booking multiple cabins, we have 5 cabins with a total of 16 bedrooms and 13 baths. We have 5 hot tubs on the property, so every cabin gets its own 😊 If you have any other questions, please let us know!
