Karr's Critter Kamp - only 1 mile to trout fishing!
Welcome to Karr's Critter Kamp! We are a hobby farm with horses, rescued dogs and cats, and several different types of farm birds. Our cabin is close to town but in the country. Just 1 mile from trout fishing, kayaking, walking trail or cycling. The cabin is 3 miles from a small town with shopping and gas or 5 miles to a larger town with Walmart, Harps, Casey's, and many great restaurants and shopping. We are also located between 2 lakes within a 15 minute drive. The host is a licensed trout fishing guide and can be booked (if available) when reservations are made ($100 additional fee after booking for 4 hour trip for up to 2 people, food & drinks are not provided but we can provide fishing gear). We also have 4 kayaks that are available free of charge.

Cozy, clean, warm, this place is a little gem for those who want to spend quality time doing something humans rarely do:Speaking without distraction from the heart. And the host is amazing.
The place was very nice it met all our needs. Our only complaint was that there was no hot water we didn't find out till we went to shower that morning. We did have a little trouble finding the place.
This little cabin was nice and peaceful. Not far out of town, but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. We enjoyed our stay and will return to stay again. We met the owner, she was a pleasure to speak with! Thanks for a wonderful stay!!
Hosts were extremely friendly and great communication. The place was clean and a cut above. So peaceful and unique. Close to Mountain Home and Cotter. If you have the time you got to check out the historic town of Cotter. We will be regular visitors. Thanks again for making our stay so wonderful.
We loved this place and will definitely be back. The hosts couldn’t be more friendly and awesome. The place is clean, in an awesome location close to the river, and very affordable.
We absolutely love this place. Big enough for the 4 of us and our large dog. The location is peaceful but not too far from town. We would definitely stay here again. The owners are great!
Great spot for anyone looking for easy fishing access, a nice place to stay, great hosts and no extra fuss. Great little cabin was perfect for me + my family, and made for a memorable stay. Host even ran over a wine opener when we forgot ours!
Enjoyed the country quiet and peacefulness. Our dog loved chasing his ball in the big fenced yard. Cottage was equipped with everything we needed for a nights stay
A little hard to find, GPS takes you down the road but thankfully directions were also sent. You cannot see the front of cabin from road or driveway so that is a little confusing BUT the place is EXACTLY as pictured super cute, shower is TINY so if you are bigger than average person that might be a struggle. Owners are the sweetest couple! Very nice and inviting. I brought my two Australian Shephard's and they loved all the new smells!! They have tons of animals in their back yard and if you come up to the fence, some will come say hi. If we ever have the need to come back into the area we will definitely book again!!
We had family in the area on a trout fishing trip from NC and wanted to be close by. This place was perfect. Anita is a great host, very welcoming and responsive to any questions we had.

The property is in the front area of their home, we werent bothered by anything, we spent most of our time away enjoying the areas activities. It was a little small for my family but perfect for a couple! Also, we got very lucky considering it was the 4th of july so i consider myself lucky for getting this property when i did! Anyway, she's super nice and accommodating and would contact her again if i needed!
