It was just what we needed. We were only there one night but was close to our points of interest. Would stay again if in the area. The host was quick to respond.

Great location between Lower Tahquamenon Falls and Paradise. Unit was clean, comfortable and included basic amenities. Nice back patio with grill, chairs, fire pit and hammock. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice place to stay!

Great place to stay especially if you want to do a little cooking! Comfortable living area and bedroom. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for more than just a hotel room. Missing some controls for fans and the fireplace remotes needed batteries, but overall a great experience.

Modern and nice. Best for just two people as the other “bed” was a very uncomfortable sofa type pull out.

The space was good. Extremely easy to check-in with great communication. The location is perfect for exploring the area. The room was clean and looked like the pics. One concern was the cleanliness of the cooking utensils - they looked dirty so we washed them before using them. Also, the remote for the ceiling fan/light in the bedroom did not work... but not a big deal as it is early October and we didn't need the fan.

Cool funky vibe, roomy, nice amenities, walking distance to hiking trails (bring your bug spray and net this time of year) that go on for miles, slept to the sound of the elusive whip-poor-will call and woke up to the meep of the woodcock. My kind of place. Thanks Jason!

Convenient to Taquamenon Falls. The facilities were adequate for what we needed, but expensive for what they were. Definitely feels partially finished. The remote for the bedroom light and fan was missing and we could not get the fireplace heaters to turn on. Neither issues was urgent, but we messaged the host and received no response.

Sleek updates done

This place was updated with cool modern decor. Nice central location for going to the waterfalls located around it. Would stay there again if back in the area.

Great Base Camp

Black Pearl is a great base camp lock for the area. The host is new in the lodging business and we wish him success.

Perfect for home base when exploring the area

Its not a bad place but needs finishing in a few areas. The fireplace remotes didnt work, but during our stay didnt really need it. Check in was easy, area is quite. We had a blast checking out everything the area had to offer and this place made it easy to get some rest for the next adventure.

Heat was off when we arrived, took hours to heat up with electric wall heaters. Bathroom needs attention with mold and trim work around the shower. Super convenient spot for snowmobiling. Overall ok but just needs maintenance kept up.

Black Pearl in Paradise

Very nice property that hit all our needs for a Fourth of July holiday. Wish we had more time to chill at the property. This place was all set up for meal prep with spices, oils, condiments and excellent equipment. Even a fire pit and grill!

This is a basic but functional unit, with a fridge/stove/dishwasher/outdoor grill, and cooking/eating basics. We stayed for one night. The location is excellent if your destination is Taquamenon Falls or the Whitefish Bay area. We especially liked the ease of self check-in as well as the fire pit and chairs in the back. We would have liked a sliding screen door for the back door-wall (in addition to the sliding glass door) so that we could leave both front windows (which have screens) and the rear door-wall open for better air circulation (as the unit has no A/C). We would stay again.
