The Lexington Retreat has superior views of Lake Huron from just about every room in the house! This 2,150 sq.ft. home sleeps 8, 3 bdrms, 2 1/2 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, Wi-fi, 3 DVD players, washer/dryer, gorgeous fully equipped kitchen w/granite countertops & a new walk out deck! The Lexington Retreat is just 3 houses off of the beaches of Lake Huron. The yard has a fire pit, 2 covered patios with outdoor furniture, outdoor games & a gas BBQ grill!

This magnificent house is located in a neighborhood with cottages and year round homes. At the end of each street is a view of Lake Huron! Some cottages own golf carts so you might see them driving by.

A car is recommended

-Only 1 dog is allowed with PRIOR permission. $50.00 additional cost. Dog must stay off of the furniture, on a leash when outside, feces picked up and treated for the prevention of fleas and ticks
-Quiet hours are from 11 PM to 8 AM
-No smoking inside the house
-Must be at least 25 years or older to rent house
-No tents or campers are allowed
-No loud parties or large gatherings
- Dog(s) must stay off of the furniture, on a leash when outside, feces picked up and treated for the prevention of fleas and ticks. Please sweep up/vacuum dog hair and dispose of prior to your departure. There is an additional fee to bring your dog(s).
-When you check out, we ask that you remove the used sheets and pillowcases as well as the towels and put them on the kitchen floor. Do not put the quilts or shams in this pile. Thank you!

-Please put the trash can at the road on Sunday. Thank you! Make sure all trash is in a trash bag. Do not set any bags outside of the trash can. Thank you!

Nice Option in Lexington

Our family of 5, with 3 adult children enjoyed our stay. House was good and it was a quick walk to the beach on Lake Huron. We traveled to Lakeport park to experience that beach as well but we could have easily only gone to beach by the house.

Overall we loved our stay. The beach was amazing but the stairs to the beach were a slight challenge. The pocket doors to the bathrooms did not match up so as to lock them, especially the one by the front door. We are from scratch cooks, and the cookware needs to be upgraded, but we made it work. The same for the dinnerware and drink wear. Only 4 large plates, no unbreakable drink wear for kids and only about 5-6 glasses. Like I said we made it work but those things could use an upgrade.

Easter Getaway

We cooked an Easter dinner and the kitchen was well equipped to make a nice dinner. Wonderful area and we look forward to coming back when the weather is a little warmer! Thank you!

Great weekend

The home was amazing! Exceeded our expectations! Communication with owner was prompt! Although we visited off season the view from the house was nothing but amazing! The kids ran down to the beach and drew in the sand. We did not have kids under 10 with us however they were equipped with toys a high chair and toddler safety things. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Amazing Lexington MI Stay

The property was amazing! There were ample towels and amenities, very clean! There was a fire pit that we used all but one evening. Neighbors were all very friendly. A huge bonus was the large driveway to accommodate multiple commuters. We normally travel with multiple cars/families and there was plenty of parking space. The views of Lake Huron were amazing. Swimming beaches were very accessible, and water equally amazing and clear. Local restaurants were top notch. Highly recommend Wind Jammer, Stone Lodge and the local Pubs. We would recommend however, getting out to eat and completing shopping early as Lexington shop hours can end early. Great place if you like to watch sun rises and actually moon rises if in phase. Local Marina has a Pontoon rental that they were very accommodating that made for great site seeing. We normally vacation at ocean beaches on the Gulf and we were very apprehensive when going North. We are already planning on booking a trip for next year but staying longer.

Check in was okay, but I did need to reach out to the renters to get the information as I did not receive it the morning of our booking. Overall, the spaces and locations were good, but we did have issues with cleanliness throughout the home. When we got there, the floors had sand and dog hair all over them, the countertops in the kitchen had food and other debris, and one of the bed sheets clearly had not been washed, in addition to the other bedroom, smelling like urine on the carpet upstairs. We spent a fair amount of time that first day tidying up the place so we would have a more comfortable stay. In addition to that, the rental was lacking basic needs like more than one garbage bag or adequate amount of hand soap, etc, so we had to purchase those items. The kitchen did have many of the items needed, but they were all in very poor condition … the pots and pans were all scratched up, the plastic spatulas had numerous burn marks on them, there were only a handful of plates despite the rental being marketed for up to eight people, etc.We ended up making the most of it, but would not recommend this place to others.

The host did a very good job and treated us right. We had a frying pan that was unusable and they replaced it immediately. We had problems getting the TV to work and they came right out and resolved the problem. Also, we had an internet outage one morning. The host came out to try and fix it and when they couldn't they moved us to another house. Later found out that the internet was out for the area and not a problem with the house
