About this property

Luxury and Modern cabin on the Golden Circle

Our house is located by the lake Apavatn, only 2 km from the town Laugavatn, right on the Golden circle, Gullfoss and Geysir is only 33km drive from the Cabin. Excellent base to explore the south of Iceland from. In Laugavatn we have Fontana Geothermal baths and small supermarket.

Our house has 3 bedrooms and Guest house outside. The main bedroom has King Size bed ( 180x200 cm ) , second bedroom has Queen size bed ( 160x200 cm ) , third bedroom has Double bed ( 140x200 cm ) and very nice sleeping sofa that changes into 140x200 cm bed. Outside we have guest house that has two Single Beds (90x200cm). We have bathroom inside the house with walk-in shower and the Guest house has bathroom also with shower. Our kitchen is fully loaded with everything you need. Outside we have sitting area, Hot Tub ( Not Jacuzzi ) and outdoor shower. In the TV room we have 75" TV and Apple TV. We have big garden around the house and if you are traveling on a Helicopter then our grass field in front the house is perfect for landing it. In the Laundry room we have washing machine and dryer.

During winter time it's a good location to see the Aurora / Northern lights ( if the weather condition is right ).

We have a baby crib and high chair for your children.

We provide linen, towels and soap etc.

We manage over 100 properties here in Iceland, most of them in the Reykjavik area and also outside of Reykjavik.  Please let us know if you would like to split your stay, some nights in Reykjavik and some outside of Reykjavik.  We also offer long term renting.

Simply Amazing!

This was our second trip to Iceland for hiking. This place is amazing! Lots of room, very comfortable and quiet. Very modern, clean, and well-laid out. Great eating area, plenty of room for relaxing, and great windows with a spectacular view. We launched from here to hike at Glymur Canyon, Haifoss Falls, and Skogafoss trail, all under a 2 hour drive. Also, very close is a great hike called Midfell at Fludir. Easy drive to Vic. We also made it to Mulagljufur Canyon (spectacular) near the Glacier Lagoon which is just over a 4 hour drive but totally worth it. The place is very well stocked with cooking supplies, towels and essential items. Great washer and dryer and instructions. If you are looking for a beautiful spot to get away for privacy or a place to launch on hikes and sight seeing, this is it. I see us coming back.
