About this property

6 Bedrooms/3 Baths Farmhouse near Mt Snow and Hermitage Club

Fox Meadow Farm is an historic Vermont property with four bedrooms and one full bathroom upstairs and 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths downstairs. The large updated kitchen enjoys beautiful views and is a cozy gathering area at the beginning and end of the day, with the front porch looking out onto classic Vermont views.
Upstairs, the bedrooms are as follows;
Three bedrooms each have a single and a full size bed and one has a queen size bed.
Downtairs, one room has a full and one has a queen. The living room has a fireplace.

The VAST trails run on the circumference of some of the property, making this an ideal place to start your ski touring or snowmobile venture from.

Mount Snow and Hastack Mountains are within a few miles in either direction from the farm and Haystack can be seen or hiked to easily from the VAST trail.

We are pet and wildlife friendly, so if you bring your well behaved non-shedding dog, be sure to be aware of the non-domestic animals that roam on the property and remind us of this rural land, with delicious spring fed well water and beautiful views.

Beautiful and rustic house
We were a group of 10 and the house was perfect. We had enough bedrooms and bathrooms. The bathroom door could be fixed (so one doesn't have to sing). The location was beautiful and the view from the house during fall was just amazing. Overall a good experience.

Fox Meadow in Vermont
We enjoyed our stay at Fox Meadow! The view was stunning and provided a quiet environment for our family to relax and visit. The accommodations were comfortable with plenty of room for all. We loved the traditional "Vermont Country House" and would come back again! We enjoyed visiting with Meredith, the owner! She was great and was available to answer any of our questions.

Gorgeous place
I had such a lovely time in this cute, comfortable house. The views from every window are beautiful and peaceful, and I enjoyed taking walks in the nearby woods. The place is also close to Brattleboro, Marlboro, and Bennington.

Presidents Day Weekend
I stayed at this farmhouse for 3 nights with 12 friends (all of us in our early 20s). We decided it would be fun to spend the long weekend in Vermont where we could ski, drink, and relax. Upon arriving at the house we were excited with how secluded it was, and how much snow had fallen! The house is off a main road, all the way at the end of a cul-de-sac. The decor in the house was a bit interesting (it had a very old/antique barn feel to it, but with a lot of crazy wall paper), and we loved it! The farmhouse was easily able to accommodate all 13 of us... and we could even all eat dinner together or play card games around the big dining room table. The house was an easy 10-15 minute drive to Mt. Snow. While some friends went skiing, the other members of our group either went tubing, snow shoeing, or lounged around the fire in the house. There's a convenient market about a 5 minute drive away where we stocked up on groceries. The market also had really great quality prepared foods. Meredith, the owner was VERY accommodating and easy to get in touch with. Overall, it was such a nice getaway from New York City, and we would definitely stay here again.

authentic VT farmhouse with updated kitchen
I have just returned from spending several days in this authentic VT farmhouse. The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived. We upped the heat and were cozy and warm in a short time. Having linens and towels provided was a great help. There were plenty of extras and lots of blankets. The kitchen was our gathering place. An updated stove made cooking for a crowd easy. The wood stove kept the room nice and cozy. There was plenty of seating for the 14 of us between the kitchen and dining room. The living room served as a quiet area for reading and the kids to play, at night it became our game room. Unfortunately there was little snow till our last day but we were able to sled before we left. The house is halfway between Wilmington and Mt Snow so less than 15 minutes to the mountain or food shopping. There is a little store/deli 3 minutes away. The owner was gracious with answering all my questions.

Best New Years Eve I've had
Just spent the New Years weekend there and we had an amazing time. The house was very large and was able to accomodate our large group very comfortably. The owner was very helpful and made it easy to plan our trip and answered any question we had about the house. It was supplied with all the household items we needed and all the appliances worked well. The house had a lot of character and was a very interesting place to stay in. The price is also affordable compared to many of the other places I looked at, even during the holiday season. Its a short drive to Mount Snow so its perfect if you're looking for a weekend to go skiing/snowboarding. The conditions at the mountain weren't the best, but we had a great time at the house which made up for it. There is a very large field by the house and pets are also welcome, although we didn't bring one. If you have a large group and are looking to go on vacation I would definitely recommend this place to stay in.

Native from New Jersey, this farm has been in my life since 1963.

Why they chose this property

Always a place to retreat to peaceful, serenity, in Nature. You can sled or snowmobile directly from the property, and are just minutes from area ski mountains and hiking trails.
Cozying up to the fireplace with a great book is another nice activity when the weather outside is frightful, and several options are available.

Delicious water from the spring, great location to the local area, lots of privacy, and, convenient access. Large enough for several families to enjoy beautiful views from the kitchen and the front porch.

What makes this property unique

Proximity to everything, size and beautiful views with as much sun as you get in Vermont!
