We used this property for our wedding weekend. My in-laws stayed here and we utilized the property for groomsmen the day of the wedding. The owner was communicative and helpful! Everyone enjoyed this place, especially my son who spent hours outside exploring.
We had a perfect long weekend at this property and wouldn’t hesitate to return. They’ve tended to every detail, including extra comforters, flavors for coffee they generously provide (regular AND decaf!), and every kitchen item we needed during our visit. The water view is peaceful, and the heron that landed several times just outside of the glass door on Sunday morning sent us off with grace. Many thanks!
Great place, great host.
The place was as advertised. Though we didn't get the opportunity to enjoy the beach and toys as my wife was there to do Ironman Maryland the view and sunsets were awesome. It was very quiet and we enjoyed watching the wildlife.
Lee was very responsive to our texts and is a great guy. Highly recommend the place.
Communication with the property owner was excellent. He answered all our questions very promptly. The property was right on the water with great views. The building was very nice and we had everything we needed. The small bedroom is small and could use a window but it worked out for our 14 y/o daughter. The master bedroom was wonderful as was the kitchen, dining room, and living room. The hosts were excellent and came to our aid when we needed something. Overall we were very impressed with our stay and would visit again!!!!
We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful waterfront property for two nights, and it was a perfect getaway! The private beach offered a serene and exclusive spot to unwind. We loved spending our days crabbing, fishing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. One of the highlights was sitting back and relaxing while watching the stunning sunsets—it was truly breathtaking.
Overall, this property provided everything we needed for a memorable and enjoyable stay. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful and activity-filled retreat!
Lee the owner did a great job transforming this into a very cozy updated rental. Great location for sunrises and sunsets, fun activities, kayaking, paddle boarding fishing crabbing & cornhole.
My family and I enjoyed ourselves !
The place is really a little slice of heaven. It is so peaceful and soul fulfilling. Sitting by the covered porch at the break of dawn, drinking hot tea and watching the birds fly and some diving to the pond in front of the porch for food is so enjoyable. I even spotted 2 Eagles gliding in front of my eyes. Sitting by the beach and watching the beautiful sunset is another of my favorites. The kids enjoyed kayaking and paddle boating along the serene waters of Choptank river. The house is clean and pretty. The host is very helpful and answers questions quickly. I will definitely come back. I returned home post vacation feeling rested and happy.
Clean and well decorated....within driving distance of anything/anyplace we wanted. Water views, wildlife, kayaks, astounding sunsets, an enormous comfy sofa and a deep bathtub...I mean what else is there? The host was polite, informative and rightly takes pride in the lodgings he's created.
We loved this property, it was spacious, extremely comfortable (great AC which was huge) and right on the water!! We also liked how close it was to so many towns and great places to eat.
I would highly recommend it.
We had an amazing time! The barn was immaculate with so much attention to detail, and the beach was paradise. The kids spent hours paddle boarding, kayaking, and taking the little boat out. It was calm and shallow so very safe for kiddos. We are so thankful to have enjoyed this space together as a family!
You can never be too sure about Maryland weather. It was chilly but we were able to use the kayak and riding in the small waterway right by the house was lots of fun.
The place was very clean and accommodating to all our needs. We loved the location on the water and enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards and chairs set out on the beach for our use.
Lee was very friendly and quick to answer any questions we had in regards to his property and he suggested a couple of great restaurants that were close by. We will definitely rent A Little Slice Of Heaven again.
Great vacation house for my family of kids ranging from newborn through 8 years old. Everything was new, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our time kayaking, paddle boarding and playing in the sand at the beautiful private beach. Lee was a great host! Responsive and available to answer any questions. He went above and beyond giving the kids a great time riding on his golf cart.
Highly recommend, felt like we were staying in a bird sanctuary. Easy to get to town for good food and drinks, the space is very comfortable and clean. Hope to stay again.
This place was all it was described to be! Lee was very helpful and friendly! The patio was a great place to sit and sip coffee in the morning. The view from the beach is gorgeous! We watched a storm come in and a beautiful sunset at the same time. Also toured the Choptank lighthouse, rode the ferry and biked around the old town of Oxford. Definitely recommend this place! Also recommend the Suicide Bridge Restaurant and the Red Roost Restaurant which are within 30-40 minutes.
The lodge is beautiful decorated in a farmhouse style. The property is new, very clean, and has all the basics you'll need. We loved every single detail!
Outside, the kayaks and paddleboards are ready to use.
We enjoyed drinking coffee in the patio and viewing the beautiful sunsets.
Thanks for the welcoming bottle of wine... very thoughtful!
Property is new, clean, and worked perfectly for our family.
We loved that when the heat of the day was too much we could birdwatch from the couch.
With the kayaks and Adirondack chairs waiting for us on the beach it was so easy. (Not words usually used for a weekend trip with two young kids)
We had a lovely time at this cottage on the river! Everything is brand new and farmhouse chic! A beautiful quiet, eclectic location on an oyster farm. The house is fully stocked with whatever you may need. Plus coffee! Easy access to everything nearby. We enjoyed the private beach, reading and relaxing, paddle boarding, and kayaking. All equipment is in excellent shape. Owners are nearby and quick to respond. They even welcomed us with a bottle of wine! A very nice touch. Especially for 3 single moms who never get away without kids... We had a fantastic time!
I stayed here for the Eagleman 70.3 race with some family and it was the perfect location being only 15 minutes from downtown Cambridge. The property is right on the water with a beautiful sunset and sunrise view. Paddleboards and kayaks were available to us as well as other outdoor games. The couch was huge and could easily sleep 3 people. The master suite was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable! The kitchen had all new appliances and was very clean. The only caveat was that there wasn't Wi-Fi, but after speaking to the owner, he said since the place is brand new, they are waiting for someone to set it up very soon. I would stay here again. It is a great getaway and truly a hidden gem!
