Comfort & Style
Built in the 1940s and beautifully restored in 2021, the 1,100-square-foot main house combines vintage charm with modern comforts. Inside, you'll find a mix of new and antique furniture, including striking pieces from Japan and Hong Kong.
The primary bedroom boasts a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom, and direct access to the backyard. The other bedrooms offer full- or queen-sized beds, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring Tucson. The back opens onto a red-brick courtyard with a swimming pool (not heated), covered patio with bar and grill, and outdoor seating, ideal for lounging and dining.
The separate guest house, a.k.a. the casita, provides a private space with a queen bed, a small living area with a twin-sized day bed, and a compact kitchen.

Full disclosures
Not a heated pool: The swimming pool is always open, but it is not heated. This means that swimming from late October through much of April will be a chilly exercise. The ideal swimming season is from May through September.
No hot tub: There pool does not have a hot tub. It does have a small, seating area that looks like it is a hot tub, but the water here is the same temperature as the rest of the pool.
Casita living: While the main house has central air and heat, the casita uses one portable and one wall air conditioner as well as space heaters. Guests staying in the casita should travel with sweats to help stay warm.
Noise: The Hampton House is in a residential area where some of the neighbors are university students. As such, there may be times when noise levels rise because of student parties. These likely will not disturb your stay, but please let us know if you experience any neighborhood disruptions so we can work to resolve.
Hot showers: Water can take some time to warm up, especially at the beginning of your stay. If you find that the water for a shower or from the sink is not getting warm, turn it on in the hot position and let the water run for several minutes. If it continues to be stubborn and not warm up, let us know so we can troubleshoot.
Pets: As a general rule, we do not accept guests traveling with pets. However, we welcome guests with service animals and we will consider allowing other dogs to stay. Please talk to us about your pup if you’re interested.
Kids: Children are welcome at The Hampton House, but please be advised of the following: The Hampton House is not child-proofed and does not have any child-focused amenities. Also, the swimming pool is not surrounded by a safety fence and there is cactus within reach of little hands.
