As advertised: immaculately clean upon arrival, well-appointed house, hospitable and responsive host. Lovely location on Carolina Lake (and terrific spot for watching 4th of July fireworks) and very short walk to the beach. Everything our family of 16 needed for a great beach week!

Stayed here with 4 families for a weekend soccer tournament. The house was perfect. Big enough where the kids could all bunk up and the adults had plenty of room to spread out. Location is perfect- a quick walk to the beach and the boardwalk area. The lake view was also beautiful. Very clean and well maintained.

Fantastic, huge place by the beach!

Our extended family of 20 loved the new, clean and comfortable property. Kitchens were very well stocked with cooking, eating, and drinking needs.

We LOVED our stay! The views are incredible, you can see the beach right from the house. Everything was super clean, the house was so spacious, and Emily, the host is incredible with quick and concise communication. We will be booking again, we had an amazing time.

Perfect property for a large family celebration. Plenty of space for us to gather in common areas but also room for people to get away to a quiet spot. Kitchen was stocked with all the dishes and cooking supplies needed to feed a crowd. Being right on the lake was great for walking our dog and younger kids having playground access. If you're lucky you might spot a gator!Ideal walking distance to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Overall no complaints, just be patient when using the elevator. We did have a family member accidentally deactivate it but communication with the host was quick and a repairman was out immediately to reset it. We received so many compliments from family on how great the houses are set up for hosting and entertaining a large group, would definitely book this property again!

Great for a large group

We rented both sides of the house for our large group of 25. The space was excellent and the location and distance to the beach was perfect. It is a short walk to the beach. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful when needed. Highly recommend.

Tennis retreat

We had an amazing time staying at Emily‘s house. Each duplex had five bedrooms and four baths, and had great views of the lake and park. The house was centrally located to the beach for surf fishing, as well as walking to the mini outstanding local restaurants. Will definitely stay again in the near future.

A lovely new property!

We had a wonderful stay at this very well-appointed property! The first thing you need to do is go to the top floor and get the very informative book that is on the property--answers many questions. The proximity to the beach is so convenient, and we fell in love with the Veggie Wagon.

IT’S A SHE THING LADIES RETREAT 2024

Our stay was amazing from the time we entered the home until we checked out. The home is inviting, spacious, clean, well stocked and just beautiful overall. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. Great for your group

Group of 18 family members enjoyed a fabulous week at the house! Close to everything, great views of the lake and the ocean, enjoyed the fireworks and the market. If you don’t like elevators be prepared for stair climbing but the elevator works great if you are willing. Kitchen is very well stocked for the chefs among you. Very responsive and helpful host. Would recommend and would return!

Great spot for big family

I rented both sides of the house for a weeklong vacation with my extended family. It was great having two full, well-stocked kitchens with all those people. Also two living rooms so if one house wanted to go to bed early, the other could stay up later. The elevators were much appreciated by older relatives and my senior dog! The younger folks walked to everything but the grocery store that week since it’s in a great location. There’s also a lot of beach stuff to use which was convenient.

This was our second family vacation to Carolina Beach but by consensus, it was agreed this lake front property was the best accommodation we've ever had. There were minor problems which the host was very responsive to have remedied in a timely fashion. Word to the wise: it's in your best interest to conduct a walk-through when you check-in and the let the host know IMMEDIATELY if anything is amiss. The rooms are spacious and well equipped; there's an elevator for those with limited mobility but generally we just climbed the stairs. A landing on the 3rd floor connects the two units but it took a few trips to get my bearings on which floor and unit I happened to be in. You can't beat the location which is about a 5 minute walk to the beach and maybe 10 minutes to the boardwalk. We were able to watch the Thursday night fireworks from our balcony so no need to deal with the crowds. I would recommend renting beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes, etc from the local rental companies. They set-up, deliver, and take down for you; it's worth the expense if you want to avoid hauling gear back and forth to the beach.

This place was perfect for our family reunion of five adult kids, their partners, their children, and two grandparents. We rented both sides and we had PLENTY of space. The kitchens are well stocked including things not usually found in these vacation homes like a full set of spices, plastic wrap, parchment paper, etc. It even has an Instant Pot! The location is fantastic, affording both beautiful views is Carolina Beach Lake and the ocean. It’s walking distance to the boardwalk and plenty of restaurants and bars. It’s a five minute walk to the ocean. There is a little store called Veggie Wagon right there at the end of the street that has lots of yummy treats and some staples. The house itself was one of the cleanest we have ever stayed in and the pictures don’t do it justice. We will definitely be back! Thank you!
