Host profile image
Born locally with a passion for property. I took on this derelict piece of Irish history and restored it bringing it back to life I enjoy food, cookery, and run a small farm with cattle and horses.

Why they chose this property

As the custodian of a unique property set on a small farm in the townsland of scarteen. The cottage is centrally located to explore Munster. Nestled under the Galtee mountains . While rural the main motorway is only a 20 minute drive. A rural retreat with well maintained gardens and private parking

What makes this property unique

A traditional Irish Thatched cottage that has been lovingly restored using traditional methods . The structure remains the same with many of its original features. As a protected building there was minimal intervention yet it boasts modern day amenities. This 300 year old cottage offers you the chance to step back in time and sleep under a thatched roof supported by mud walls. Located on a small working farm. This rural retreat is both rare and very special. An ideal location to explore Southern Ireland and return in the evening to relax by the wood stove.
