We drain, clean, and refill the hot tub after each guest leaves. I don’t know what is meant by wrong porch. It’s on the lower level porch and is accessible by the steps down to that level as shown in the photos.

As Good As Advertised

Well maintained house is a quiet neighborhood. About a 30 minute drive to downtown blue ridge. Great views and amenities, everything was as good as the pictures looked.

Beautiful View!

If you are looking for a cabin in the Blue Ridge area with a jaw-dropping view, this is the place. The cabin is perfect for couples or a small family. It was just the right size for our family of three. The cabin is secluded, yet downtown Blue Ridge is only a 15 minute drive. The hosts were communicative and accommodating, too. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to stay again soon!

Not as advertised

The view is beautiful and clean however that was the only positive thing about this cabin. The hot tub is only accessable by going down 55 steep steps with no railing or safety option. The other alternative is to askes the owners that live 200ft next door to keep opening the garage but even then its a very steep driveway. Had the steps been in photos or the description we would have not chose this cabin. During the winter months of snow/ice the hotub would not be accessible. The kureg spits out hot water you use it. We were given two towels for two peole for a 4 day stay, the couch is a sleeper couch and is beyond uncomfortable to sit on as its extremely used. We were trapped for most of one day due to the abundance of yellow jackets and wasp at the only entrace door. We were also not able to enjoy the hot tub or deck due to this. There is a trap by the front door which is attracting them more. We ended up leaving a day early due to all the issues. We did make the owner aware but there was no money given back

The description says that the hot tub is accessible on the lower deck. The steps are pictured in photos and we specifically had them designed so that they are not steep. When the guest checked in, they told us that one of them had a disability and she wanted to access the hot tub through the garage. I told her I would remotely open the door at any time they desired. We do not live 200 feet away. We are actually 200 miles away. Opening the door, I told them, was not problem at all and I would do so anytime. Our cabin does not say that it is designed for disabled people and again, we do have a photo of the steps in our pictures. The guests were provided four bath towels, not two. Hand towels and wash cloths also provided as well as spa towels. We also provide a clothes washer/dryer and laundry supplies should they want to to use them. The sofa in the living area is not extremely used. We added this when we opened the cabin less than a year ago. As for the bees, we do have a pest control company that comes monthly and they also take care of any bee nests that are found. The trap the guest referenced is for carpenter bees in their season so they don't bore into wood. It does not attract nor does it deter a wasp from flying around or beginning to build a nest. Guest told me she was highly allergic. I told guest that we would ask our cleaning company to bring wasp spray, if they wished. They did not respond to that offer. When the cleaners came after check out, they told me that they found no bees at all around any door. The bees and the physical disability of the guest were the only issues that they made us aware of. We did accommodate the disability the best we could. The guest now states that the driveway was too steep for her to walk down. If that was the case for them, they also had their car available and could have backed their car to the garage door. Had they mentioned that, I would have been able to make that recommendation. There are a lot of hills in the mountains. We were able to clearly see their comings and goings during their stay on the driveway camera which indicates that they were not trapped in the cabin. We always do our best to meet the needs of our guests that are within our control. This guest has grossly misrepresented our little cabin. We have not, in any way, misrepresented this property and have only the most positive reviews.
