We loved our stay here and the opportunity to just spend time together and reconnect. We stopped by the grocery store on our way in and had everything we needed to cook a few meals and not have to leave unless we wanted to. Very peaceful, quiet area. Highly recommend, and will hopefully return in the future.
We absolutely LOVED our stay. The property is beautiful and peaceful especially when looking to unwind and remove distractions of the outside world. The hosts were very responsive and great throughout the booking, check-in, and check-out process. Absolutely would recommend as a couples retreat!
The wife and i had a great stay over the weekend. The place was very clean and cozy, we felt at home and had a fun time exploring the house. We plan on booking again next year.
We had a great time at this VRBO. The house is as you see in pics. The kitchen was well appointed and we cooked most nights but the Banner Elk cafe is great food if you don't want to cook. Overall we had a great stay and would stay again. The adult rooms were so much fun. Everything you need to dip a toe in or jump in head first. There is a store close by if you forget personal items (anything that would be unsanitary) I did forget some items lol.The list ong. Watch the driveway and road. We rode motorcycles and there is a lot of gravel that caught wheels every time. Just have to gun it to get over the hump and pray no one is coming down you cannot see lol. Bed is the best one I have slept in in years. Couch in living room is horrible. Felt like I was sitting on the ground. With that complaint being the only one (and there are chairs) this house should be on your list even without the rooms but those rooms made our trip unforgettable
This cabin was a great place to stay. It had every kitchen accessory you could want. The bed was very comfortable.
It was great to listen to the creek running next to the house. We had great dirt roads to walk on.
Wife and I were looking for something different for a weekend get away and this fit the “something different” category. We had discussions with the owner prior to booking and were pleased with the quick replies to our questions. A list of the home’s “features” were sent to us, which for us, was helpful and greatly appreciated. Our minds were put at ease long before arrival.
When we arrived, we found the house to be very clean. We saw no signs of prior guests or stays anywhere or on any surface - linens and towels included. We brought sanitizing wipes to go over things that would be tried and we didn’t notice any dirt or dust after wiping things down. We were very impressed with the cleanliness and discovered a nice array of cleaning products available for guest use. Property is also well stocked with basic needs which were also well appreciated. The hot tub was clean and private (it could be viewable from the small neighborhood road, but we just moved our car to block any view - if that’s a need). Furniture was comfy for lounging around. And the additional features were well placed and fun to discover.
One note: the property does have a couple other properties within view from the deck. Granted - it was heavily screened with trees, but we made sure our time outside was sippping coffee and listening to the creek.
Our drive home was full of discussions about new found likes and what surprises we discovered. And there were enough that we both look forward to booking again!
